I know that removal itself still has lower inflammation levels than revision surgery or reconstruction, and compared to implants it settles down quickly, but can columellar necrosis happen? I had mucous membrane necrosis before, so I'm a bit hesitant about surgery. They say the nasal tip can't even be removed with a closed approach, so that makes me even more hesitant. But I have no intention of living with my face looking messed up like this, so I am going to do it anyway, but I'm curious.
