It’s been about 10 years since I had double jaw surgery. My jaw asymmetry was severe, and when I lowered my head to study, my jaw hurt so much ㅜ So I had surgery when I was 20.
Back then, I went in without thinking much and had the surgery, so the pain afterward really shocked me lol These days there are a lot of reviews and it’s well known, so people can probably imagine the pain, but.. I went in without thinking, and after the surgery, I couldn’t breathe and really struggled a lot with the pain. I still remember it vividly lol On the other hand, I remember the hospital room was clean, and the nurses came in often and removed phlegm with suction.
Even after 10 years, I’ve been doing well without any major problems. My jaw doesn’t hurt either.
However, when I had to remove a lower impacted wisdom tooth, maybe because there wasn’t enough jawbone, a regular clinic told me to go to a university hospital to have it extracted. (They said the jawbone could fracture..ㄷㄷ) I was worried, but I went to a university hospital and had it removed successfully. The professor cut and removed the wisdom tooth right away without any hesitation lol These kinds of issues can also come up later, so please keep that in mind. I also wonder if one side of my jaw was cut too much ㅜ
I keep getting questions about the hospital, so I’m adding an edit. The hospital still exists, but these days there are a lot of people saying they don’t recommend it, so if I say it carelessly, I feel like I’ll end up looking weird lol I hope everyone chooses a good hospital well!
