I had osteotomy, alar reduction, and augmentation rhinoplasty on the 19th.! Today is my full third day... I still have a lot of swelling.. Yesterday and the day before, there was quite a bit of swelling around the upper cheek and eye area, but when I woke up this morning, it seemed like everything had gone down except for the swelling in the lower cheek area.. Still, it doesn't really look human yet ㅠ Maybe because I had the augmentation too, the swelling is especially severe around the cheeks...ㅜ Fortunately, I didn't bruise at all... I’m not having chin surgery, but my lower cheeks are so swollen that I look like I had square jaw surgery, and my face looks incredibly long ㅋㅋ Right after the surgery, I was so frustrated and in pain that I thought, why did I even do this... But I’m coming to this community and seeing a lot of people's photos and reviews, which is giving me strength! They said they’ll remove the stitches on the 7th day and remove the nasal cast on the 2nd week... ㅠ I’m worried about the stitch removal too. (Since yesterday, the area with the stitches has started feeling itchy.. My father says it means the wound is healing... I can't even scratch it, and it’s driving me crazy..) What’s really bothering me these days is smiling and yawning.. Ah seriously, when I’m on the phone with friends, I end up smiling even when I’m just sitting still..ㅋ My face looks so funny that I laugh too ㅋㅋ So when I smile, it really hurts like the stitches are about to burst ㅠ Especially!! when yawning!! After the surgery, I seem to yawn a lot more, and I try really hard not to put any force on my nose when I yawn... but the stitched area still keeps stinging a little ㅠ I’m worried the stitches might burst at this rate ㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ If someone told me to do this surgery again, I absolutely wouldn’t do it, but I don’t think I regret it to the point of hating it ㅋㅋ My nose was so big that when I took pictures, the nose was basically all you could see ㅋㅋ I’m getting through each day with the hope that I’ll look prettier once the cast comes off.!! Hahaha To everyone in this community who’s also going through a tough time with nose surgery! Hang in there!!!!!!! In just a few days, you’ll look prettier!! ㅋㅋ
