Review... Chapter 6 <The Day I Went Onto the Operating Table>

You must be sick and tired of wondering when this darn review will ever end, right? ^^ Because everyone reads it with interest, I keep ending up writing more. Now I can go shopping and all, so I hadn't been coming into this community much. Since I've become freer than when I was stuck at home in a cast.... My husband still hasn't come home, and before I go to the hospital to see the doctor today, I came in to write a few lines. This is a detailed review of the day I had surgery at Apgujeong G. I couldn't have sleep anesthesia. The hospital apparently doesn't have sleep anesthesia at all;; Instead, you take a sedative. They said some people fall asleep after taking the sedative, so while lying on the operating table I kept trying to will myself to sleep. Hurry up and fall asleep~ I did abdominal breathing too... It was my first time taking a sedative, and it did have the effect of making my throat and body feel heavy. My speech was a bit slow and silly too... But I couldn't sleep. I could hear everything the nurses and the doctor were saying back and forth... I was a little anxious... so... The dreamlike, fantastic fourth-dimensional world~~~~~~` I wanted to experience it once too, so it was such a shame. ㅠㅠ But actually, it was manageable even with local anesthesia. It didn't hurt much. Thinking back, it wasn't that scary either... People here often say nose surgery is something they could never do again.. but for me, I thought this level was doable. I'm not especially brave. -_-;;; For anyone who may have surgery at Apgujeong G, I'm letting you know. The doctor scolds the nurses a lot during surgery. He gets frustrated. The nurses keep getting told off... Still, please don't feel anxious. That's just the doctor's style ㅋㅋㅋ. I was a little moved because I could feel with my whole body how much the doctor wanted to make the patient comfortable. The anesthetic injection hurt less than a vaccination, and the crisp cutting sound when the ear cartilage was being cut was even interesting. When the bone was being cut away, it pulled a little like being caught on a fishhook.... Then there was one climax. Something was used to strike down the nasal bone... bang bang~! bang bang~!! Like that, maybe five times.. I don't know if the bone was resonating or if it hurt, but there was some pain. I whined that it hurt like a child. I thought I would have no sensation at all because of the anesthesia, but unexpectedly I could feel it, so I think I got scared for a moment. Thinking about it now, it was nothing, but embarrassingly...ㅠㅠ After the hammering(?) blood suddenly started flowing back. Imoen: (in a mumbling voice) Can I swallow it? Doctor: Spit it out. Suction~! Nurse: Yes Doctor: Suction!~ What are you doing, seriously? ... Didn't you prepare it? ... Turn it on Nurse: Why isn't it working? Doctor: I... honestly~!! It's okay, spit it out. This isn't the suction nozzle...! Because the suction wasn't properly prepared, I just had to spit the blood out through my mouth. Dr. G was holding gauze in his hand and catching all the blood I was gurgling and spitting out. ㅠㅠ I could feel warm blood pouring out of both nostrils too. Doctor: It's okay. This amount of bleeding is normal. Spit it out. Dr. G wiped away all the blood with a fatherly touch. Even with my eyes closed, I could feel how nervous the nurses were..--;; And then the thread was going back and forth, so I figured the suturing had started. Imoen: Is it already over? Doctor: It's almost done. Now.. it would look strange if the nasal tip were too sharp, right? Imoen: As long as it's not blunter than my original nose. Doctor: Your original nose was sharp, wasn't it? Imoen: Yes... within a line that doesn't look artificial ...(Please make it sharp) The doctor... undid the stitches again and went into trimming. By then I already had some composure, so I opened my eyes slightly and watched. I saw something like a red piece of meat about the size of a fingernail. I guess it was cartilage... He attached that to the thread and put it back in... and he was still talking to himself. Doctor: Did it go up too much?... Ah,,, this isn't it... He was talking to himself while concentrating. ㅋㅋㅋ If you don't know the doctor's personality, it could make you anxious. Since I was the person lying on the operating table, I was a little anxious too. Still, I trusted him because I knew he had a strong drive for making the result like a work of art. And I could really feel that he was struggling through it alone. I even thought he should hire new nurses... ㅋㅋ In a silly voice, I cautiously let out the one thing I had been holding back. Imoen: Fighting~~~.... (-__-;;) After surgery, they put a plaster cast on me. Doctor: It turned out well. You had a bit of a hard time today, didn't you? Once it was all over... tears started flowing. For no reason, like a little kid... There were many good things about having a cast. I could wear lightweight glasses, sleep lying on my side, and because I couldn't check the swelling with my eyes, I didn't have to get needlessly anxious... On the day the cast was removed, the doctor wasn't there, so I talked with the nurse. She said that originally he had planned to make my nose rounded like Lee Seung-yeon's, but at the last minute I asked him to make it sharp, so the surgery time got a bit longer. But that extra time was an hour and a half. Excluding the sedative, anesthesia, and waiting time, it feels like the actual time my nose was open was less than an hour... Current condition on day 13. My nose shape changes day by day. The part at the nasal tip that looked bulging downward is lifting and settling upward. I was anxious because it looked droopy, but I don't think I need to worry too much about the angle. I'm going to ask today how much more it will lift and settle. I'm going to the hospital now. I'll add a comment after I get back. ^^;;
