Before/after I ended up getting revision rhinoplasty from Dr. Kang at a plastic surgery clinic because I wanted to improve silicone show-through, inflammation, and scar tissue that developed as side effects from rhinoplasty at another hospital! I had followed my friend, so to speak, and got my nose surgery at the same hospital where my friend had theirs without really researching it much ㅠㅠ I asked them to make it high, but after surgery, I found out that, unlike what was discussed during the consultation, they had inserted thicker silicone ㅠ They said anesthesia was not working, so they proceeded under general anesthesia, and both right after surgery and the recovery period were so hard. After that, I developed inflammation that was visibly noticeable, and the silicone showed through too, so I was under so much stress.... Then I thought I needed to look for a hospital that could reverse this, and I looked into hospitals for about a year.
Then I had a consultation with Dr. Kang, who is well known for revision rhinoplasty, and because my first rhinoplasty had been so difficult and emotionally exhausting ㅠㅠ I told the director that since this was surgery, I really hoped this revision rhinoplasty would go well. I also said that my midface is on the longer side, so I wanted it to look shorter. He gave me a positive answer, saying that by lowering the starting point and raising the nasal tip, he could make it look as short as possible... so I trusted him and went ahead with the surgery!! Before surgery I was so nervous that my whole body was trembling, but the operating room nurses kept talking to me about various things to help me relax, and before the anesthesia took effect, they explained each step so I would not be scared and even told me I would start feeling sleepy now... (It was so different from the previous hospital.. At the previous hospital, they did not even talk to me, and while my body was shaking, they just put the medication in and put me to sleep...) I had no pain or discomfort at all, and above all, every single staff member at the hospital was so kind. Even when I had a lot of belongings and was putting them down, they told me to take my time and were so considerate, which I really appreciated!! Most of all, as the swelling went down day by day after surgery, I am really so happy that whenever I take photos, the scar tissue does not show even when shot from below, and the silicone does not show through no matter what lighting I take photos under! Because the starting point was lowered, my nose really looks much shorter too. It is such a trustworthy place that I would trust them enough to leave my own family member there if they were getting surgery... I am so glad I was able to get revision rhinoplasty here, and for anyone really considering revision surgery... please.. please trust me and go get a consultation....!!
