This is a review after one and a half months.
Suddenly, I had a double eyelid only in one eye, then in both eyes, then suddenly it became monolid again, and my eyes were being very fickle... I had not considered plastic surgery at all, so I went in after gathering only superficial information from YouTube, apps, and the like, and I visited and consulted with the sole criterion of whether I would gain trust in the doctor and the hospital. I came in determined to prioritize the doctor’s opinion both in the technical aspects of the surgical procedure and in the aesthetic sense needed to produce a great result, and during the consultation I mentioned only these three things: improving my uneven eyes, making the double eyelid fold settle on both eyes instead of mostly only one side, and, if I was doing it anyway, honestly hoping to look better-looking. (To be honest, since I was already doing it, I wanted to look better! Please make me look like that!!! I even thought about showing a Hyun Bin photo while saying it, but I could not bring myself to do it ㅠㅠㅜㅜ)
The order was that the manager first gave basic consultation and advice, then I had a consultation with the doctor, and at that time the manager accompanied us and listened carefully together. The process finished with a final consultation from the manager, which made me trust it.
Throughout this process, I was generally satisfied with the understanding of my concerns, the suggestions for improvement, the surgical scenario, and the attitude toward the patient. Of course, one could just decide based on before-and-after results of plastic surgery, but I thought surgery is case by case and they can also show only the people who had good results, so I mainly checked whether they clearly understood the patient’s situation and provided a clear solution for it.
It seemed that the doctor wanted to avoid overcorrection, and I felt they proposed a solution so that it would be natural and not get tiring or awkward even after a long time, and the detailed explanation during this process built trust. Also, the manager, having listened together to the doctor’s solution, provided additional explanation during the final consultation, which made me trust them even more.
So I decided on eye plastic surgery at Itop Plastic Surgery and had non-incisional ptosis correction. No canthoplasty or other eye surgeries were done; they made the double eyelid fold and strengthened the ability to open the eyes. As a bonus, my eyes open more easily, so it feels like my field of vision is wider. When I opened my eyes after the surgery on the first day, I thought I had regained my sight..
