I went around for function + hump nose consultations! My septum is quite deviated, and I was focusing a little more on function than aesthetics... I visited places with ENT specialists! It was my first surgery, and I’m not into flashy things!
1. ㅂㄹㅋ - one chief director CT - consultation with the doctor - consultation with the manager, in that order!
The doctor was really kind! They did a virtual simulation with Photoshop and explained side effects and even parts that would probably be hard to cover They said I’d probably need mouth-area correction too (adding silicone to the philtrum) (a dental CT from over 10 years ago also said my mouth protruded a bit, but not enough to be noticeable, so they said I didn’t need orthodontics) Septal cartilage and ear cartilage would be used Plenty of time for the consultation!
The manager spoke clearly and neatly, and filtered out unnecessary talk and only gave the needed information! I trusted what they said, but the quote was way too expensive.. Function 430 Aesthetic 270 (some difference between cash and card) -30 for photo review
CCTV available (I couldn’t confirm whether viewing is allowed..) Sedation anesthesia! (No anesthesiologist specialist) Lifetime AS for parts caused by a surgical defect?

2. ㅈㅇㅈ - Dr. ㅇㅎㅈ 2nd floor reception - CT on the 3rd floor - manager consultation on the 2nd floor - doctor consultation - manager consultation, in that order
The doctor explained everything in a very gentle? and calm way, in great detail! Even when I asked questions, he calmly explained more For the unevenness caused by the hump, they use donated cartilage to smooth it over They said they grind it into powder and mix it with medical glue to shape it! (This was my first time hearing of this method, so it was fascinating) Anyway, they said there wouldn’t be any side effects like bending or warping! Other than the parts I requested, there was no extra surgery suggested Anesthesia is general anesthesia! The doctor prefers general anesthesia as a way to block even the slightest possible risk that can come with sedation anesthesia There is a resident anesthesiology specialist!
The consultation manager was also kind Didn’t feel stern or anything, just very soft and gentle Function 340 Aesthetic 450? but 160 when combined with the function procedure If you add all the documents and test fees, it comes to around 550
They do have CCTV, and if requested they said they can separately record only the part of the surgery I had and show it around the time the packing is removed (they said there is a separate department in charge) There is normally an extra fee (the front desk said around 30) Due to medical law, I couldn’t keep the file myself or make a second recording They said I can watch it there on the spot and they delete it right after They said to request it before going into surgery + Consultation fee was about 25,000 won!!
3. ㅂ - Dr. ㄱㄱㅈ Same flow as ㅈㅇㅈ: CT - manager - doctor - manager
First I talked with the consultation manager about what I wanted, then had the doctor consultation! Before coming to see me, the doctor also briefly checked the condition of other patients in the waiting room (those who had already had surgery), and then saw consultations one by one
He looked at the CT in great detail and checked the current condition and what was needed He also looked at the situation with an endoscope and compared what it would be like after surgery First, the tip of my nose was drooping too, so it needed to be lifted (all hospitals mentioned this) He said once it was lifted, it would look like a bulbous nose (mine is a bit thick..), so that would also be addressed He said that because it can droop after swelling goes down, they sometimes make it a little higher than the desired height at first, but in 8 out of 10 cases it settles slightly lower and ends up at the desired level; in 1 case it doesn’t lower, and in 1 case it lowers too much I felt a bit more trust because of his many years of surgical experience There is an anesthesiology specialist, and the anesthesiologist will decide between general and sedation anesthesia, but based on my procedures he expected it would usually end up being general anesthesia unless there’s anything unusual CCTV repair work will start around August-September, so if requested they said they would record with a camcorder He said it’s important to compare image references with each other and confirm that the nose shape matches They would use septal cartilage first, and ear cartilage if needed. He said that would be decided during surgery
The consultation manager explained things kindly and well! Function only: 500 total, but 400 with photo + review Aesthetic also gets the photo + review discount, so 150 Total 550, but that’s when not using ear cartilage If ear cartilage is used, 40 per side Insurance claim documents: 7,000 won The CCTV explanation was the same as the doctor’s + There was a 10,000-won consultation fee!
I still plan to visit two more places! 4. ㅊㄷㅊ Dr. ㄱㅌㅎ 5. ㄴㅌ Dr. ㅇㅈㅎ - there’s no ENT specialist, but I was recommended to go for a consultation, so I’m planning to!

Watching the video felt like taking an online lecture, and it was fun I already knew all of it from visiting places around, but from how to read CTs to septal deviation syndrome and implants/non-implants, it was informative
The doctor came in and explained everything in detail again! They said it would be sedation anesthesia, and there isn’t an anesthesiology specialist.. Like the other doctors, he explained everything thoroughly, kindly, and step by step
The manager was incredibly gentle This was the only place that didn’t write things down to tell me the quote They said they’d send the quote by KakaoTalk, but they never did... They have CCTV but said viewing isn’t allowed! They said even university hospitals still don’t do it, and many places don’t allow it...; Function 240 Aesthetic (hump nose, nasal tip) 350
For number 5, I had a hard time even getting the consultation scheduled Maybe because I was asking about function, they called me separately and explained very kindly that surgery was possible, but they had difficulty preparing the documents related to function so I noticed and just canceled!
They said to contact them later if I need the aesthetic side!
I’ve made up my mind to go with number 3!
