They’ve already started laying that many costal cartilage particles on the nasal bridge…??? Has the issue of becoming bumpy as they get absorbed and the problem of not spreading evenly been resolved? No matter how much I search, I can’t find information like that

These days they even use bio-bond a lot for closure after surgery. I don’t think you understood what I meant. The issue I’m raising is bumpiness and unevenness. And as far as I know, that issue hasn’t been resolved. Costal cartilage particles themselves aren’t something that only recently started being used.

[@아아맛나] Hmm… look into solid costal cartilage carefully too. You know costal cartilage itself has a warping issue, right? Still, since it’s also used as support for the columellar strut, it does seem like there are more places these days that process it well so it doesn’t bend. I think you need to research reviews that can be verified externally as much as possible, not just the reviews the hospital shows you, and then decide. When the material has that kind of nature, it seems there are often cases where later they avoid responsibility by saying it’s not a surgical issue, but an unavoidable result due to the material (meaning it becomes easier to make excuses)

I thought costal cartilage was just shaped and used as-is Why do they say they crush it and use it? Does that have more advantages?
