7-Year Review After SMILE LASIK

Ever since I was young, I practically lived in circle lenses. I hated how my bare eyes looked, and just wearing lenses changed my image and made me look noticeably prettier. I loved that effect, so I wore circle lenses for years, but after about 5 years or so... I remember going back and forth to the ophthalmology clinic because one eye in particular kept getting severely bloodshot. Usually, I would get medication prescribed at the eye clinic, and it would calm down within a week, then I would wear circle lenses again. But from that point on, whenever I wore circle lenses again, the redness kept coming back. I felt like something was wrong. Honestly, 90% of the reason I wore circle lenses was for cosmetic purposes, but 10% was also as a replacement for glasses. My vision was in the negative range, so I always wore high-prescription lenses. Then I felt like I really could not wear lenses anymore, so I went to a large hospital famous in my area, made an appointment right away, and had surgery within a week. I did not have any resistance or fear toward eye surgery from the start, so I just received it comfortably, and after the surgery, aside from my eyes aching for a day or two, there was no discomfort. Now, about 7 years have passed, and my vision is still maintained at 1.0 in both eyes, with no side effects. At first, I could not get used to my bare eyes, but after living like this, I do not wear lenses at all anymore. I feel like if I wear lenses for no reason, I might start hating my bare eyes again lol and my vision might get worse too lolololololol ㅠㅠㅠ Anyway, as someone who has had countless surgeries and procedures, the one I recommend most is LASIK. Of course, it depends on the person, but being able to see the world this clearly with bare eyes and without glasses makes me so happy.
