I work at a company, and daily life has become impossible I'm usually really mentally strong, but I feel like I'm going crazy to the point that I'm thinking about taking leave or even quitting. I had surgery for a bulbous nose and osteotomy, and my nose was too high, so on day 11 I had an early correction to reduce the support a bit and restore the osteotomy. I'm really relieved about the osteotomy restoration, but when my nose was higher, my nostrils were small so I didn't notice. Now the nasal tip is lower, but the angle is still upturned, so my nostrils look really big from the front. It looks like an upturned nose. Because I even had an early correction, I've been suffering because of my nose for almost a full month now. I feel like I'm losing my mind, so I'm at least writing this Now it's day 7 after the early correction, and I know it could be swelling, and I've seen a lot saying the lifted look comes down. But the hospital I went to itself is famous for an aesthetic that makes noses upturned, and I thought it would be okay because I requested things clearly. From the side, the nasolabial angle really doesn't look upturned, just as I requested. But lifting the nasal tip from the front was a huge thing, and I didn't know. I hadn't requested that part. So it ended up like the noses in other reviews. There may be people who look pretty with that kind of nose, but my nostrils are really large and my nostril rims are also raised, so from the front, an arrow-shaped nose would absolutely be better, and my nose must absolutely not be lifted. But the doctor didn't consider that either. And even on the day the splint came off, they said it looked better than before hehe. Then that means it isn't lifted because of swelling. I don't think it's swelling. I think this place does surgery well so there is almost no swelling, and I really resent myself for choosing a place whose aesthetic itself was wrong, just because the reviews said they reflected what people wanted well. On top of that, in this community, I saw a post and photos that seemed to be from someone who had surgery at the same hospital as me, and their nostrils looked lifted from the front and stayed the same for over a month. I really tried to find hope, but now there is no hope. If I were a college student, I feel like I could somehow get through it, but I'm a busy office worker and I have to work at the company, and it's so painful. I'm scared of how I'm supposed to take off my mask. What should I tell the company? I'm so embarrassed I really want to live my daily life, but... Is it possible to have early correction twice? All kinds of thoughts are coming to me. I'm at an age where I don't even have time to wait 6 months.. Since I've had open surgery twice, should I look into closed early correction? I really can't figure out what to do, and I feel like I'm dying.
Lalaby Early correction, early removal...... People repeatedly say not to do it, but every time everyone gets emotionally furious and curses, so it's frustrating. **But, there may be a design aspect too, but no matter how well the surgery is done, it's swelling. I keep saying this, but because people don't like it, so many people here flip the skin open again right away!!! I don't know what shape it is right now, but even a god of surgery can't get rid of nose swelling. The nose is extremely sensitive, and if you flip it open and dig through everything, the mucous membrane all swells and is puffy. Not the swelling you feel, but swelling where the cells are swollen. It absolutely comes down. Height and lifting all absolutely come down. If it's not something that has to be resolved immediately, like the nose being crooked, inflammation, contracture, etc., I think you need to wait at least three months, not one month. (And after that, if you still hate it like crazy or notice side effects, revision after six months)
다롱대롱 [@Lalaby] I wrote this emotionally, but thank you for the comment I have to meet people and have a lot to do, so I don't know how I'm supposed to endure 6 months.. I think the doctor also designed this nose this way, and I'm pinning my hopes only on it coming down so the nostrils show even a little less from the front. If it really seems like that's not going to happen, I do think early correction is necessary.. For now, I don't regret having the early correction, but in such a confusing situation, I couldn't see what the problem was and I don't think I properly requested what I wanted I keep thinking maybe I could request it again, rather than this being a side effect of early correction.. There are also many people saying theirs didn't come down Still, three times would really be too much, right?
Lalaby [@다롱대롱] No, but even if I can't make the request properly, it's the doctor who should look at the overall design and adjust it accordingly. They make a living doing only nose surgery, so isn't that obvious? (I've also done my job for about 10 years, and when I listen to the full story, the estimate, size, and required resources all come out at once, you know?) But the reason I say not to do AS, especially early, is because of the possibility of side effects, but also because doctors are human too, and during AS they sometimes seem less meticulous than during the initial surgery (for example, it feels like when a house is already fully built and the customer says they don't like it, so they ask to tear it down and build it again). Also, issues that weren't visible early on can appear later, so requesting correction all at once can be advantageous for the customer. Anyway, it's already been touched, and honestly, I think with the nose, once you've had it operated on, it's hard to go around without it showing. If this is truly urgent and you absolutely have to do it again, then whether it's early or whatever, it makes sense to touch it. But if not, I think it's right to endure the discomfort and watch it. The nose is a really, really sensitive area, so even a small issue can become a big problem. I don't know what standard the people saying it didn't come down are using or what they saw, but unless it was made so it fundamentally cannot come down, early overcorrection absolutely comes down. If a doctor can stop that, they've beaten gravity, so they have the hands of a god.
다롱대롱 [@Lalaby] That's what I'm saying.. I really trusted that since he was a doctor with a long career who only does noses, he would do it decently even if I didn't explain well... But in many ways I don't think that's the case. When we talked, he didn't seem like a doctor who considers many things, and from right before surgery to the post-op consultations, unlike the first consultation, he always left in a rush because he was busy haha. And when I look at the post-op photos, they're all the same. Even though he acted like he would reflect what I wanted.. I also thought about it a lot But what I also agree with is that during the early correction, it really did feel less meticulous, like asking someone to tear down and rebuild a house that was built a week ago. I also redid it because my image changed too severely, and my image came back a bit more, but I think even the harmony the doctor created got broken, so it got ruined I had no implant, only ear cartilage, and I just want to lower the angle more again Would it still be risky?? I've seen quite a few comments from people saying it didn't come down even after one or two months and they're going crazy
Lalaby [@다롱대롱] Those posts saying they're going crazy during the one or two months are the ones I hate the most. People think, "I'll be fine," then get early AS, remove it, and then things turn into a mess. Especially if it's ear cartilage, it will come down even more and more. A year later, there's a high chance you'll feel it's lacking.
다롱대롱 [@Lalaby] Then if I don't look at one or two months, but wait about three months, will I be able to know to some extent? The side-view nasolabial angle is low, but from the front it's an upturned nose where the nostrils show too much I should have asked them to make the nostrils not show at all... Why didn't I say it properly when I knew this was a doctor who operates like this?
Lalaby [@다롱대롱] With the nose, you absolutely get mentally distressed in the beginning. I also thought it was high and wondered, wow, what do I do about this, but people around me were easygoing and not the type of friends who judge faces, and luckily I was able to rest a lot and reduce meeting people, so I was less affected. I endured by focusing only on management, asking that I just not develop inflammation or side effects. They say that usually, once you get past 6 months, unless there is trauma afterward, the possibility of side effects drops significantly.
다롱대롱 [@Lalaby] I think it's harder for me because, of all times, I'm in a situation where I have to meet people.. Sigh, I really don't know how I'm supposed to endure this. If I quit, I feel like everything will really collapse.. Since it was only ear cartilage, I'm less worried about side effects
앞으로성공만 [@Lalaby] Phew, I really relate to this… I couldn't endure that and had everything removed after 14 days;; I was such an idiot
Lalaby [@앞으로성공만] Sigh…. It's unfortunate, but if you've already done it, don't regret it. With total removal, the contraction phase is scary. But because it doesn't come right away, the person going through it gets hit without preparation, like being hit by a tsunami. Really check the condition of your nose much more sensitively, and actually manage inflammation even better than when you had surgery. Management is absolutely everything.
