It's been 6 weeks since surgery... It wasn't severe protrusion, so they set it back 3 mm...(but I felt it was severe.) My gums showed a lot, so they moved it up 2 mm too. In the photos it looks natural, but when I talk or smile, it feels extremely awkward and there is also a sunken, toothless-looking mouth appearance... They say time is the medicine, but I've been through so much emotional stress that I still don't really know if it's good yet.;; I also have to start orthodontic treatment again, so it seems like a surgery that takes a lot of effort. But I do think that if someone has a severely protruding mouth, the satisfaction would be really high. I did it because my orthodontist told me to have surgery... but for now, I don't really want to recommend it. I should have just done orthodontic treatment... sob. The surgeon told me to wait because it will keep changing until 6 months. Still, my side profile has improved a lot, and my nose looks more defined, so that part is good.ㅋ
