Review of consultations for my first nose surgery at ㅁㅎ, ㅋㄷ, ㅍㄹㅇㅂ

It took me a whole month just to research online, and for in-person consultations I picked exactly three places and visited them all in one day Honestly, I wanted to go to about five, but I didn’t have time Even after pulling together all the annual leave and substitute days off I could use, I only had about 3-4 weeks from consultation to surgery I was in a situation where I had to do the consultations, surgery, and recovery all within that time And less than a week after doing the in-person consultations, I scheduled the surgery and went in, so today is day 1 after surgery First of all, my nose is short, small, round, and low From the front it looks a bit blunt, and from the side it is slightly upturned, like the nose of a Disney 3D-modeled character My nostrils are round and fairly visible from the front In comparison, my columella is not weak-looking; it has always been relatively sturdy and plump Based on my in-person consultation list, there were really just two criteria 1. It had to be the head director or a system with up to two directors; no large hospitals 2. A place that preserves a rounded columella well I don’t like noses like Winter’s I wanted a place that makes the nasal tip somewhat round and definitely preserves the columella and nasolabial angle well for a naturally glamorous look - 1. ㅁㅎ (ㅇㅅㅎ) CT scan > consultation with consultant > consultation with director > consultant (quote) No consultation fee The wait was probably less than 30 minutes. After reading consultation reviews, I thought the wait would be long, so I went in expecting over an hour, but I was seen faster than expected My nose itself is really short and low, so I was sure my septal cartilage would be weak, but after taking the CT, I found out that I unexpectedly had a generous amount of septal cartilage, about 30 mm. But they said it was slightly deviated, not severely, just about the degree of deviation most people normally have I wanted to use no implant and just do the nasal tip a little But they said my nasal bridge is too low, so it absolutely needs reinforcement (silicone), and the nasal tip would probably be possible with septal cartilage alone I said I didn’t care much about the nasal bridge line, but if possible, the most important thing was a straight-to-slightly-curved profile and preserving the columella well. They said my columella is already rounded and protrudes a bit, so the nose I want is definitely possible They said there might be a possibility of using ear cartilage if, during surgery, there isn’t enough I think the quote was around 4.4 million won (I lost the business card the consultant wrote on, so I’m not sure) 2. ㅋㄷ (ㅂㅇㄱ) Order: same Here too, after taking the CT, they said I had enough septal cartilage What I liked here was that they looked at the proportions of my whole face and explained the overall harmony with my face I had always thought my midface was short because my face is short and my lower face is also short, but they said my midface proportion is longer than expected, so if I just put the exact nose I wanted onto my face, the midface could look even longer and might not suit me (I said I hoped my nostrils wouldn’t show, and I brought a photo of Shin Se-kyung; haha) So they said we should avoid making it too long while preserving my existing facial image and finding a compromise Similarly, silicone for the nasal bridge + septal cartilage for the nasal tip, and after opening it up, if there isn’t enough, there is a possibility of reinforcing with ear cartilage The quote was 3.8 million won 3. ㅍㄹㅇㅂ (ㅇㅈㅎ) Order: same Here too, after taking the CT, they said I had enough septal cartilage. They measured the length and said it came out over 30 At all three places, when I spoke with the consultants, they said that because my nose is small, short, and low, there was a possibility my septal cartilage might be weak, but once they actually took the CT, it came out plentiful, so they said it was unexpected The consultation itself was the best, and they answered everything I was curious about, so it was really good Here too, they told me the septal cartilage was large enough, but a bit thin? (This was the only place that said it was thin) and a little deviated But even though I had enough septal cartilage, they said it could still be weak and suggested using rib cartilage I think they also suggested raising the nasal bridge the most here. ㅋㄷ and ㅁㅎ suggested putting in about 3.5-4 mm of silicone, but here they said up to 4.5 mm would be okay The quote was for basic nose surgery (silicone + septal cartilage), an autologous costal cartilage support strut, and short nose correction, and with a deposit they offered a negotiated price of 5.7 million won Before going to the consultation, I somehow thought from the outside that my septal cartilage would be very limited or weak, so I had even considered rib cartilage But despite having enough septal cartilage, they suggested using rib cartilage, so... I left feeling a bit doubtful I decided on one of the three the same day and had the surgery I had it in the morning, and I have no swelling or bruising at all. There isn’t even a drop of blood on the gauze they put on.
