Review of functional and cosmetic nose surgery for septal perforation at BS Sumi ENT Clinic!

<Before Silastic removal at week 3><After septal perforation surgery>Septal fracture in 6th grade of elementary school (too young, so surgery was not possible) Surgery at Park Eun-jin Plastic Surgery in Suncheon when I was 29 (They only operated with silicone without even a CT scan, and because the doctor did not perform the surgery properly, a perforation measuring 2 cm horizontally and vertically occurred.) But that was 16 years ago, so I think it couldn’t be helped. Since they weren’t using autologous costal cartilage either, I felt the best thing was to understand it. Now I’m 45, and after searching and searching, I finally found a place where perforation was the main surgery, so I went straight for a consultation. I met Director Kim Mu-geon and had perforation repair using autologous rib (rib muscle). After that, septal reconstruction and nasal valve reconstruction (the cause of asymmetry due to the perforation) were done. We had decided to use either autologous dermis or silicone depending on the situation, but after confirming there was no inflammation from the existing silicone, they removed the silicone and replaced it with a new one. It is now day 28. The perforation is currently well closed, and as you can see in the photos, both the left and right sides are closed, and the dissolvable sutures are still holding up well. They say the dissolvable sutures will disappear on their own around 2 months. I’m very satisfied.
