Double eyelid surgery won’t fix it. I found the real solution

There are a lot of people worried about drooping eyelids, right? For me too, my upper eyelids started drooping a few years ago, and my double eyelid lines were barely visible. It also felt like the front of my eyes was heavy and blocked. Every time I opened my eyes, I had to use my forehead, so forehead wrinkles formed, and my eyes looked even more droopy. My friend had a brow lift and her impression changed dramatically, so I got the courage to go in for a consultation too. ㄴPre-surgery condition & consultation tips The director explained everything kindly and clearly. In my case, my eyelids were quite droopy, so he said there were limits to what double eyelid surgery alone could do, and that it would look natural to make a thin incision under the eyebrow and remove only the excess skin. Tip: During the consultation, make sure to talk about the style you want. For example, whether you want to keep your double eyelid line as it is, or whether you want a natural-looking eye shape. I wanted a natural look. So the director carefully adjusted the excision range so the change in my impression wouldn’t be excessive, and tailored it to my face. ㄴDay of surgery & first week of recovery Rather than pain, the pulling sensation was stronger. When I looked in the mirror, it was fascinating because my eyes opened so clearly. The swelling was worst from day 1 to day 3, and I kept doing cold compresses every 3 hours, so after about a week, most of it went down. Tip: In the early recovery period, eating less salt and cutting down on meat helps the swelling go down faster. ㄴChanges in weeks 2–3 Week 1: There was still swelling, but it wasn’t that severe. Week 2: The bruising was almost all gone, and the scar under the eyebrow was light pink. Week 3: When I looked in the mirror, my eyes opened clearly, so the tired-looking impression disappeared. Most of all, I loved that my eyes opened naturally without having to use my forehead. The postoperative line connected well too, so it wasn’t noticeable, and the director sutured it extremely meticulously, so there was almost no scarring. Tip: Make sure to use sun protection after surgery! The scar under the eyebrow can leave pigmentation if exposed to UV rays, so it’s good to wear sunglasses or a hat when going out. These are the advantages I felt. Fast recovery: Bruising and swelling recovered faster than I expected Long-lasting effect: Drooping improved, and my overall impression changed a lot Improved field of vision: The covered feeling disappeared, so eye fatigue also decreased significantly Very satisfied My eyes look clearer, and it’s also easier to draw eyeliner when doing makeup The thing people asked me most was whether my eyes had become more defined haha The director was really meticulous from the consultation through the final follow-up, so the process went smoothly without anxiety. If you have severe eyelid drooping like me, I think it would be good to consider a brow lift. Especially if you have a habit of opening your eyes with your forehead. (There can be individual differences, so please take my experience only as a reference!)
