You know how after nose surgery, the front and side views are the most important.. The pre-op photo was already after I’d had one nose surgery before I had done it because I wanted it to look slightly refined-but-natural, but even with silicone inserted, it looked too blunt and there wasn’t even 1 bit of a slim, delicate feel. Of course, the shape was better than my original nose, but no one around me could tell I’d had my nose done lol For my revision, I really thought I should make it refined-but-natural, so I went to consultations at 5 places and it’s now been 3 months since I had surgery at one of them Oh, and for anyone here who has surgery scheduled.. I think you can assume it’s not your real nose until the 1-month mark lol For me too, until one month, it was better than before, but because of the swelling, I felt it was a bit hard to judge But after that, the swelling went down fast, and it became the slim, delicate nose I have now I replaced the silicone and made it higher, and I also had osteotomy done together. For the material, I used donated costal cartilage Even when I was getting my first surgery, a few places told me to use rib cartilage, but I was hesitant because I thought rib cartilage might feel too hard.. Now that I actually used rib cartilage for the revision, I think it wouldn’t have worked without it lol I had heard so many times that if you use ear cartilage and septal cartilage when making the nose high, it could 100% droop later, and considering the drooping, I think it’s just right to pay more and use rib cartilage.. I’m the type who pays a lot of attention to the side profile, and after the revision, I’ve been taking a lot of photos from the side and profile angles too lol Oh, and since it was a revision, the swelling and bruising inevitably lasted a bit longer than the first surgery Since the same skin is being worked on twice, I think that’s something you have to take into account.. And there seems to be discussion about whether to do it closed or open, but for difficult surgeries like revisions, open surgery makes it easier to secure the surgical field, so I don’t recommend closed surgery.. Instead, just go somewhere that doesn’t leave much scarring These days, there aren’t really places that leave severe scars, so I don’t think you need to worry too much??
