For my first surgery, I didn’t know anything and just said, “Please do it,” and went ahead with it. As time passed, my nasal tip became shorter, so I eventually had revision surgery. For the second one, a consultant friend recommended her own hospital, so I had it done there.. It hadn’t even been 3 years since then, but I developed contracture, so I ultimately went ahead with a third surgery. This time, I visited more than 10 places for consultations and finally decided on the most expensive private clinic and went into surgery... When they took a CT, they said they could see something inside my nose, and I thought it was a bone fragment. When they opened it up, it turned out Medpor (a cartilage substitute) had been used, and I had adhesions, calcification, and damage to the septal cartilage.. They removed the Medpor, restored the septal cartilage, and used donated costal cartilage for the lost cartilage to rebuild the missing support column. Because of all that, the expected surgery time was 4 hours, but it took 8 hours.. After the surgery, I woke up in the middle of the night and went home, and I was so flustered. At the second hospital, before surgery, they said they would only use septal cartilage and ear cartilage; I never heard that they would use a substitute. No wonder my nose kept getting shorter. This time, because I had surgery for a contracted nose, I’m taking separate medication for contracture too, and I’m really going through a hard time.

Reader 3 Wait, Medpor.. They put it in without your consent or any explanation?? Isn’t that legally problematic??
