Since they decided to take the fat for the fat graft from my thigh, I was wearing the disposable panties the hospital gave me. When they were preparing for surgery, they pulled my pants down and slathered disinfectant all over my entire lower body. I felt a little embarrassed, but I lay there with my eyes closed, mentally telling myself that the operating room teachers see this every day so it must be nothing to them, so I should act like it’s nothing too. After that, they slathered disinfectant up to my face, fixed my arms and legs in place, and put tape on so I couldn’t open my eyes? While I was just waiting still, the doctor came in, and at the words, “You’ll fall asleep for a moment and wake up~,” I fell asleep. It was my first time in my life having sedation anesthesia, so I tried to resist it, but “Oh, I guess the anesthetic is finally going in! I should try to hold o...” was the end of my memory of trying to resist it.
I woke up in the middle of surgery,,, From what I remember, first of all there was no pain at all, and maybe they were preparing something in the middle? They weren’t doing anything to my face. And I blabbered something pointless like, “Do you drink green grape smoothies?” then fell asleep, woke up again and blabbered, then fell asleep again. At the words, “We’ll take you to the recovery room~,” I opened my eyes and walked to the recovery room on my own feet.
They say if sedation anesthesia hasn’t worn off completely, you’re totally out of it, dizzy, have a headache, your nose hurts, and you stay half-asleep and don’t really wake up, but I was fine. About the level of having had one bottle of soju..? Not even tipsy, more like when the alcohol has almost completely worn offㅇㅇ Basically, my body just had no strength, but I was almost totally fine.
As soon as I arrived in the recovery room, I grabbed my phone and called my real older brother right away to tell him to come pick me up. He said he was on the 1st floor and coming up, so the timing was good, okay. After hanging up, I immediately video-called my friend to brag(?) changed clothes, listened to the precautions in the lobby, went to the pharmacy, picked up and paid for my own medicine, and walked well all the way to the hotel. My brother’s role was basically carrying the pharmacy bag and reducing my embarrassment a bit because I wasn’t walking alone, so I don’t think it would’ve really mattered even if I hadn’t asked him to come pick me up.
On the day of surgery, there was almost no pain, just about the dull ache after being punched once in the nose? Like my nose felt heavy, that was about it. My inner thigh felt like it had a really bad bruise, so it was just a bit uncomfortable.
After arriving, I ate porridge and took my medicine. I saw somewhere that on the day of surgery, sleeping as little as possible is good for swelling, so I slept around 4-5 a.m. Sleeping was reaaally uncomfortable. The sleeping position itself was okay, but my mouth got so very dry that I instinctively tried to breathe through my nose, and every time I failed(?) I woke up. It felt like I opened my eyes every 30 minutes to drink water. I recommend sleeping with a humidifier blowing toward your face.
