It’s only day 7 so far haha, but I’m so satisfied. Sigh, it went so well that I kind of want to keep it to myself, but? The director probably already has lots of clients even now, but? Because of my meddlesome urge to help the director do even better and better, I’m writing this to share good information (+ hospital info) with everyone who is 고민ing about it. I am going to take this down in a week though,,^^ There are photos too, so take a good look, and if you ask questions I’ll answer all of them. Even if it’s a bit long, reading it will help a lot. Reason for surgery: First, my nose before surgery - dorsal hump (not severe, and my nasal tip was also on the upturned side), bulbous nose, drooping nasal tip (severe when smiling), long nose It had basically every drawback there is,, At first, I looked into nostril/alar base reduction because I wanted my nose to look smaller, but the doctor said my nostrils were not large, so it would become a pinched nose, and that there was no way except lifting the nasal tip while making the nose size smaller. So I started researching again from the beginning. Clinic research online and in person: When I knew nothing about plastic surgery, I searched Naver cafes and YouTube, and then after finding out about a community, a whole new world opened up. I think it’s the best for getting information. I also got a lot of help from a cafe, was it the ㅇㅌ cafe?? The hospitals I properly looked at were 3 places: one large hospital and two single-doctor clinics, and I had consultations there. (*This is my personal opinion) - Honestly, I wanted to look around a few more large hospitals, but after going to one large hospital consultation, I immediately cut that option out,, Because the doctor was famous, it was hard to get an appointment in the first place, and even though I had an appointment, the waiting time took an hour and a half, and the consultation was over in 5-10 minutes. It’s absolutely not that the doctor couldn’t consult well, but they were so busy and looked exhausted and worn out, so I thought it would be a bit hard to trust them and leave it to them. — So honestly, I recommend a private clinic. What nose surgery did I have? - No implant, autologous cartilage (additional ear cartilage used if insufficient), bulbous nose correction, nasal tip lifting (long-nose improvement) The actual surgery story - First, I had the surgery while awake! They did local anesthesia during 30 minutes of sedation, then woke me up and operated while I was awake. I saw a lot of people ask if awake surgery isn’t scary, and I was really scared before doing it too, but once I actually did it, I couldn’t see in front of me and I was anesthetized, so it didn’t hurt at all?? But near the end, the doctor said about 3 times that something would hurt, and that really did hurt. I’m scared easily, but I’m also the type who can tolerate pain(?) pretty well, so I endured it.. In the middle, they sutured it and showed it to me once, and I asked for the height to be raised a little more, so they opened it again and raised it for me. This is the biggest biggest biggest biggest advantage,, that they do it the way I want,,, To the extent that, considering my satisfaction with the surgery, even if I did it again, I’d do it awake. After surgery - I got a swelling injection, so I barely had swelling. When I searched around, I saw a lot of people with bruising around the eyes and face, but I only had a bruise just on the nose that was almost gone! Ah, there is one important thing here. I had surgery during a holiday period, so I went to get the cotton removed right the next day after surgery?? But somehow, as soon as the nasal cotton was removed, rather than feeling hot and painful like the inside of my nose was being pushed?? it felt strongly like it was swelling up, so I told them, and they said the bleeding had not stopped properly and blood had pooled ㄷㄷ If I hadn’t said anything, I almost could have gone to the ER. So if you feel something strange like I did, you have to tell the doctor right away!! Make sure you remember this, no matter what!! Anyway, because of that I spent a week in hell with cotton in, but today I got the stitches, splint, and cotton all removed at once, and it was a whole new world hahahaha They took such good care of me after surgery too, and as I kept seeing the doctor, he felt warm like a dad, so I really liked it.. ————- But if I only talk about the good points, you might think I’m a broker... so if I have to talk about it a bit, I’ll tell you these are the types of people I’d slightly not recommend it to! 1. If you want a glamorous nose -I pursue a natural look, so I loved it. But if you want a glamorous nose, you could have a consultation and tell the director, and I think they might be able to do it! (Their aesthetic sense is good, yes) 2. If you are very, very scared of being awake To give an example, if you are scared of dental treatment (even with anesthesia), or if you really hate or are scared of the pain you feel when receiving dental treatment without anesthesia?? (not continuous), or if it hurts, you may need to think about it a little. Awake surgery has its own advantages, but it shouldn’t leave you with trauma!! That’s about it? Other than that, I recommend everything. Ah, to add one TMI, I heard the director here is famous for being cold and a capital T, and I really agree with that. But because of the realistic advice, I wanted to do it here even more. Even if they say realistic things like “that won’t work” during the consultation, when they actually operate, they do it in the style I want, so you don’t need to get emotionally hurt during the consultation. The realism is actually good, and even if they speak that way, from the moment surgery starts until it ends, they take better care of you than anyone, so don’t worry.
