I thought I’d be using septal cartilage, but the director explained in detail that septal cartilage can create a natural shape, but depending on the size, thickness, and degree of deviation of my septal cartilage, there are limits to how much it can be raised, so it was very easy to understand. He said that if this is ignored and the nose is raised anyway, the nasal tip could become upturned or even droop completely. Thinking about it myself, autologous costal cartilage is strong and it’s my own cartilage, so I felt I could safely raise it into the look I wanted, which is why I chose it. I’m so glad I listened to the director. My nasal tip is soft, there isn’t really any foreign-body sensation, and now it just feels like my own nose. There’s still a bit of residual swelling, but I think it’ll become completely natural with time haha Maybe because the nose is the center of the face, after getting it done my features look more complete too, so I’m really happy.
