I had incisional double-eyelid surgery 10 years ago, but over time the crease loosened and my eyes started to look smaller, which became a major complex for me. I was especially bothered by the sunken look around my eyes, so every time I looked in the mirror, it really got to me. While looking into revision surgery, I ended up going in for a consultation. The consultant who first spoke with me was so kind and warm that I felt much less nervous. After that, I had a direct consultation with the director. When I said that I wanted “completely big eyes like a celebrity,” the director honestly explained what was realistically possible and what was not. They clearly told me that it would only be possible with a forehead lift, but since I was not considering a forehead lift, we discussed a realistic surgical plan together. As a result, I decided to have revision incisional double-eyelid surgery along with fat repositioning and lateral and lower canthoplasty (dual canthoplasty). The director explained everything confidently and very seriously, which made me trust them, so I was able to decide on surgery right away. On the day of surgery, when I arrived at the hospital, all the staff guided me kindly, so my nerves eased a lot. Before surgery, the director carefully designed my eyes in detail and kept reassuring me, saying “don’t worry,” which was a huge support. After the surgery, even in the recovery room, the director came by several times to check my condition and kept asking whether the IV was going in properly, whether I had any discomfort, and whether I had any questions. Thanks to that attentiveness, I felt relieved and really good. A week later, when I went to have the stitches removed, the director personally removed each one, and I’m honestly not exaggerating when I say it didn’t hurt at all. When I had my stitches removed after my first surgery 10 years ago, it hurt so much that I still remember it vividly, but this time it didn’t hurt at all, so I was really surprised. When I looked in the mirror, there was still a little swelling, but the shape of my eyes was already set so beautifully that even my parents were shocked when they saw it. The director also explained the precautions thoroughly and said we should keep checking the progress after 1 week, after 1 month, and even after that, so I really felt that they were managing my recovery systematically. The desk staff were always kind as well, so I felt good every time I visited the hospital. It has now been about a month since the surgery, and my eyes have become bigger in a way that suits my face perfectly and have settled naturally, so I’m truly satisfied. The swelling went down faster than I expected, and I barely bruised, so the recovery process was much easier. My eyes look clearer and bigger than before, and it feels like I’ve gone back to my 20s.
