My home is overseas, so I couldn't go around to consultations in person and was in a situation where I had to choose a hospital for surgery based only on this community. On top of that, the place I would stay when I came to Korea was in a regional area, so I couldn't go back and forth to Seoul for consultations. After deciding to get the nose surgery I definitely wanted to do when I went to Korea, I was collecting information on various hospitals, but I really couldn't figure out which hospital I should have surgery at, so I asked on the free board or somewhere to recommend some hospitals famous for nose surgery. Then someone was kind enough to say they were also looking for a hospital for nose surgery, and told me about a hospital well known in this community for having operated on famous celebrities so-and-so, and a hospital of someone who had worked at a big plastic surgery clinic and then opened a private clinic, and the name of one more hospital~ (that hospital turned out to be one famous in this community for having many brokers) Still, I thought it was probably just a rumor, and that person was really so kind and talked just like someone who was really about to get nose surgery, so I believed them until the end. They said that hospital was famous for a Song Hye-kyo line, that they liked it the most, and that they were planning to get it done soon, and then said their surgery date had been set for a week later. After that, we exchanged private messages several times, and they even said they were completely satisfied with the surgery and would soon post a review, so please show a lot of interest. But my surgery date was getting urgent, so I contacted the 3 hospitals I had been considering, and they said that if I didn't come for an in-person consultation, it would be hard not only to set a surgery date but even to make a consultation appointment. So as a last choice, I called the hospital that person had told me about, and they said I could have a consultation right before surgery and proceed right away, so they matched a date for me and I immediately booked it for two days later. After coming home and thinking about it, I felt like I had decided too hastily, so I searched that hospital on the community board and found that it had been marked as a hospital with many brokers. And moreover, under posts related to that hospital, there were comments from the person who had given me information, saying things like why are you accusing it of being a hospital with many brokers, so something felt strange.. So I canceled the surgery right away. That person very kindly sent me photos by email of themselves '1 week after surgery.' Until then, I had only felt grateful because they gave me good information and answered every private message one by one. But today when I came to this community, I saw that the photos they had sent me were uploaded under a different nickname, with the description 'after one month,' and many people had sent that person private messages asking for information. When people talked about brokers, brokers, I didn't really pay attention, but after going through something like this, it is really scary.;;; Everyone, please be careful when receiving information.
