1st surgery: septal cartilage + ear cartilage 2nd surgery: The nasal tip show-through was so severe that I had it trimmed a bit and had postauricular fascia placed, but it still shows through. My skin is extremely thin, like plastic wrap, to the point that my blood vessels are clearly visible.. During the first surgery, the show-through was really severe, and even though I had it done without an implant, it felt upturned, so I had revision surgery. But I really don’t like the shape, so I’m thinking about another revision.. Clinic 1: Autologous costal cartilage + AlloDerm + autologous dermis. They emphasized the doctor’s skill and said everything is possible, that they can do it.. It is a clinic famous for revision surgeries. Clinic 2: A clinic famous for removal. They said my skin is too thin, and autologous costal cartilage is sharper than septal cartilage, so it will show through more; I should either just live with it, or if I do surgery, they would refine the shape a bit with ear cartilage. They said even if autologous dermis is placed underneath, the dermis all gets absorbed, and AlloDerm hardens and shows through white. They said it’s a difficult nose and one where the before-and-after won’t be dramatic. I don’t know which clinic I should listen to How does it look?
호호니리 I’m going crazy too because I developed show-through and protrusion. So even if you trim it, it can show through again.. At the clinic famous for removal, did you have a revision surgery consultation rather than a removal consultation??
무와무 But when the opinions are this divided, I think I’m a bit more drawn to the clinic that speaks more negatively
아무거나솜사탕 [@호호니리] Yeah, I don’t want removal because of the shape, and I wondered if it might be okay to add dermis and reshape it with autologous costal cartilage
아무거나솜사탕 [@무와무] Right, human psychology makes it impossible not to be suspicious when someone says everything is possible, but I’m so torn..
