As you can tell from my pre-op nose, the tip was droopy and overall it was just a flat-looking nose. So honestly, ever since I was a student, I lived thinking I’d get nose surgery someday, but when it came time to actually do it, I couldn’t find the courage, and I was scared of side effects too So even if I did it, I definitely wanted to use only my own autologous cartilage, but when I went around for consultations, most clinics were more formal than focused on my needs, saying things like let’s put in an implant and do both the bridge and tip; But at the last clinic I went to, they were the only ones who gave me options and said it was possible without an implant too, so I decided right there Honestly, I had also heard a lot that if you don’t use an implant, the hump nose can recur, so I was worried, but I had osteotomy done together too, and even now my nose line is still staying smooth. Since the nasal tip is definitely higher, my features look much more defined, and my overall impression looks different too, so I really only think that I’m glad I did it. Anyway, I think it’s right to go to lots of consultations for anything and decide carefully. I wonder what would’ve happened if I had just recklessly touched everything from the bridge with an implant… I’m really satisfied with my result right now.
