Review of Double Eyelid Revision Surgery After 14 Years

[Reason I Decided to Have Surgery] I felt like my eyelid line had become much thinner and less defined than before, and I wanted clearer-looking eyes, so I decided to have revision surgery. (For reference, 14 years ago I had an incisional procedure, and this time I had it done with the buried-suture method. I thought it would be impossible, but that wasn’t the case.. The director said my skin is on the thinner side, so it would be fully possible with the buried-suture method too ! ) [Day of Surgery] I arrived earlier than expected, so I was able to get ready comfortably with plenty of time. After taking pre-op photos, I washed my face, met the director, had the line designed, received the final instructions from the consultant, and moved to the operating room. I think it took about 15 minutes to prepare for surgery, including the IV and anesthesia, and the actual surgery time was about 15-20 minutes? The sleep anesthesia lasted within 2-3 minutes, and after that I was fully alert^^..!!!! The surgery proceeded while checking and adjusting my eye line. After the surgery ended, I did an eye compress in the recovery room for about 10 minutes, the director checked my condition once more, and then I went home. The line I wanted was an inline crease, but because of swelling, it looks like a deep outline crease.. That evening, it kept throbbing, so I worked hard on icing it. [Day 2 After Surgery] Compared with the day before, the bruising was getting darker, and my eyes kept feeling very irritated and cold, so I kept putting in eye drops.. I also iced them morning and evening! [Day 4 After Surgery] The swelling was the worst ever, so it was hard even to open my eyes.. It’s not in the photos, but even my nose swelled, haha.. It was exactly like an outline sausage crease, and I spent the day diligently drinking pumpkin juice + doing ice compresses, half wondering whether this swelling would really go down.. [One Month After Surgery] Maybe because it was revision surgery, the swelling is going down much more slowly than for others, but compared with the beginning, it has gone down a lot ! There is still some residual swelling, but with makeup it only looks slightly puffy, so even an acquaintance I met after a long time said they wouldn’t know if I didn’t tell them haha.
