This is a 2-week review of my mother’s lifting surgery! I’m writing this in case it helps anyone considering lifting surgery. My mother had been concerned about sagging in the deep cheek area and an overall sagging facial line, and she wanted to get a facelift. She had a consultation with the director at 345, and they said my mother’s skin elasticity was relatively good, and the sagging was not severe enough to require a facelift. Instead, there was a lifting procedure called SMAS volume lifting, about the level of a mini facelift, with a relatively short surgery time and less burden, so we decided to proceed with that surgery. Overall, she had lifting + liposuction in the deep cheek area + fat grafting to the sunken upper eyelids and sunken under-eye areas. Actually, we had consultations at other hospitals too, but at 345, the consultation with the director itself was different. Without excessive recommendations, they pinpointed exactly the areas my mother was concerned about and recommended only the necessary surgeries. I also liked the hospital’s internal safety system, and the fat grafting was done appropriately only where needed, so my mother is very satisfied too! The day after surgery, the director personally called, and they were so gentle and nice, so we could comfortably ask anything we were curious about. They explained things well, so postoperative care was easy too. After surgery, she did cold compresses for 3 days (no cold compresses on the fat-grafted areas), drank pumpkin juice every day, and kept wearing the lifting band for two days. Wearing the lifting band was more suffocating than expected, and the swelling was severe for the first two days, so we were worried, but now the bruising has almost disappeared and it seems a lot of the major swelling has gone down. She hasn’t met acquaintances yet, but even at week 2 it looks very natural, so we’re really looking forward to the changes after one month and after three months!
