I remember having the surgery about 5 years ago. I had it done by Director Lee Dong-min at Seoul Yonsei Eye Clinic. The price was 1.8 million won, and my vision before surgery was -9.00, -8.50? I think. I searched a lot of hospitals because I had extremely high myopia, and this place was famous for LASEK for extremely high myopia, so I chose it. I’m really glad I did it!! It hurt for a full 5 days, and it was pain I couldn’t even imagine…. I don’t want to do it ever again, but I had very severe dry eye syndrome and very high intraocular pressure, and now my dry eye is almost gone and my intraocular pressure has also come down a lot. I’m not sure whether it’s because of the surgery, but the dry eye definitely improved! My guess is that it improved because I stopped wearing contact lenses. As for the intraocular pressure, my vision was poor and my corneas were very thick, so maybe the ablation improved the intraocular pressure somewhat.
