Since this is my second revision double eyelid surgery, I had a lot of worries, so I searched online and went around to consultations at various places. At the last clinic I visited, the price was a good fit, and I wanted to get lower eyelid fat repositioning together with the revision eye surgery. They were the only ones who confidently said my eyes would benefit from it, and the consultation was calm, so I made a reservation and left. I had gone there to see the head director, but when I asked, “Would the head director be right for me?” they recommended another director, and said that for the line I wanted, the director they were recommending now was much better. I felt unsure, so I asked, “I feel like I’ve hardly seen any reviews for the director you’re recommending. Why are there no reviews? Do they have a lot of experience with eye surgery? Have they been at the clinic for a long time?”
When I asked like this, they said that the reviews usually shown on apps are only posted under the head director’s name, so I may not have seen many, and that there were many reviews. They showed me several photos they had, and said the director had a lot of experience. They said, if anything, this director does more revision surgeries these days than the head director, is better at lower eyelid fat repositioning too, has been at the clinic for a long time, and is someone the head director brought in because they are good at surgery. So I trusted only those words and paid the deposit, but on my way home, no matter where I searched, like this community, another app, and so on, there were almost no reviews for revision eye surgery.... And they clearly said the director had been at the clinic for a long time, but in a 2024 review, a different clinic name was written... Something feels really uneasy, so I want to cancel the reservation deposit. What should I do... Am I being too sensitive?
