I think the director has very clear opinions of his own haha We had agreed to discuss things in more detail at the consultation right before surgery, so I went in after discussing the following.

Before going in, I was informed that because of the “alar rim lowering,” they “might” use “donor rib cartilage,” and if they did use it, they would take proof photos and show them to me, and I would need to pay an additional 700,000 won after surgery.
[Starting to feel upset] There was a consent form allowing use of photos of my nose for before-and-after photos to be posted as partial model photos on the hospital website, blog, etc., with the photos being taken and edited, and only shown to the patient (they may also not use them). Aren’t they supposed to show before-and-after photos as a matter of course..(?) I think they are good at sales.
[Upset 2] Before going into surgery, a nursing assistant with a foreign, maybe Vietnamese? accent and somewhat unclear speech inserted the IV needle and trimmed my nose hair. First of all, the area where the needle was inserted hurt so much (I have had many plastic surgeries, but this was the first time being punctured in the forearm area). My veins are thin and deep, so they are hard to find and rupture easily. After the person with unclear speech left and a Korean nurse came in, I said it hurt and that my veins rupture easily, and I was told that once the anesthesia started, they would check and change the injection site.
The nose-hair trimming was sloppy and painful. In the waiting room, while I was fully awake (?), she wore a headlight and cut it with scissors, but she stabbed my nostril exactly twice with the scissors. But the person with unclear speech said, “Ah. It is usually a bit uncomfortable,” “Ah.. ah, this keeps getting caught.” Hahaha. Ah, I felt really anxious and bad as a first reaction.
When I went into the operating room and lay down, they said they would check the position of my needle, but then they covered me with all the cloths and tied them. I was very worried that they had no intention of checking the needle position, but when the injection went in, I said, “Doctor, please take good care of...” and when I opened my eyes, I was in the waiting room.
[Upset 3] I was anesthetized and closed my eyes at 11, and when I opened them it was 3 (?) I thought they said it would take two hours at most..(?) As soon as I opened my eyes, I was struggling from the propofol, unable to control my body, and barely conscious, but the manager suddenly came in and showed me a proof photo (?) of donor rib cartilage from another surgery, then said, “A lot of donor rib cartilage was used.. a lot went in because of the alar rim, so two pieces of donor rib cartilage were used.. Normally we show it to you like this, but the director thought from the consultation that you understood it would definitely be used, so he could not take a photo. You need to pay.” Honestly, it was hard even to speak or think, and I felt that if I said “yes” while still sedated like that, it would be hard to make an accurate judgment, so I said, “I’m having a hard time right now, so I’ll talk about it later.” I was not even awake from anesthesia, but they started by talking about money and making excuses for their communication mistake, so my body and mind felt even worse, and emotionally I felt even more upset for a second time.
[Upset 4] After sleeping for an hour, I woke up and looked at my nasal bridge, and there was a little bruising. They only touched from below the hump to the nasal tip, without removing the hump.. I was clearly told before and immediately after surgery, when they showed me, that “because it is endonasal, there will not be much bruising or swelling.”
So after the propofol had worn off a little, while listening to the aftercare precautions, I said, “I paid all the main surgery fee, but regarding the additional material to be paid afterward, since you did not take photos, I do not know what was put into my nose, so there is no way for me to know.” The older senior manager next to me also scolded them, saying, “Why didn’t you take a photo?” They told me to wait a little, then I was told, “The director is in surgery, so let’s talk about the donor rib cartilage tomorrow when the cotton is removed,” and I was discharged. I was discharged right away without meeting the director.
Even if I see the director tomorrow, if there is no proof photo, is there any way to know whether donor rib cartilage was used or not... I am very upset, and I would appreciate it if you could read this and tell me whether I am the strange one~~
