I had revision eye surgery with an incisional method at a clinic, and recovery was faster than expected…

<My eyes before revision surgery><My eyes after revision surgery>I originally avoided the incisional method because people usually say recovery is slow and the line fixation is too strong, right? So during my first surgery, I hesitated because of that and got the non-incisional method, but it failed pretty clearly.. haha When I thought I needed revision surgery, this time my biggest thought was to choose what truly suited my eyes rather than focusing on the surgical method. My criteria for looking into hospitals were: 1. A place with many revision surgery reviews 2. A place with reviews saying the director has good aesthetic sense and creates clean lines well 3. A place with good fixation and no scarring, regardless of non-incisional/incisional method Once I set criteria like this, I was able to narrow the hospitals down to a few! The first place I went to was a clinic, and Director Kim Tae-hoon said he would set the lines at 10 mm on both sides for surgery. When I said I didn’t want lines that were too high, he said he would make them in-out lines suited to my eyes. I was drawn to how detailed the consultation was, so I ended up having surgery there. As I wrote in the title, the surgical method was incisional! 1 week after surgery - At this point, I managed it at home with the ice pack I got from the hospital and pumpkin juice, and since I wouldn’t know the line or swelling properly until the stitches were removed anyway, I waited. At the 1-week mark, the hospital removes the stitches and gives a swelling injection! 2 weeks after surgery - On the day the stitches were removed, it looked a bit swollen, but from the next day, the swelling started going down quickly..? Still, I couldn’t let my guard down, so I kept diligently applying compresses to reduce swelling. I did go for walks when I had time, but I got lazy and only did it for a few days haha. I also didn’t have that much swelling anyway~ 1 month after surgery - I went to the hospital for a progress check and, since I was there, got swelling care again!! haha They said they would keep doing it for a year if I wanted, and I liked that they didn’t just ignore me after surgery. Rather than managing it myself at home with an ice pack (it’s also annoying haha), I preferred getting care while going to the hospital for progress checks, so I got it every time I went! Now the lines have settled to some extent, and honestly, after week 3, I barely had any swelling haha, so I think I was able to go about all my daily activities. What’s surprising is that, unlike my first surgery, it’s amazing that I had less swelling with revision surgery.. I’m also so happy that the line symmetry is good.. Seeing this makes me think the incisional method was the right fit for me lol. This time, thanks to finding a director who specializes in eyes and examines them well, I think I was able to finish with revision surgery without taking unnecessary risks.
