Review After Visiting Clinics for Lifting Consultations

I visited all kinds of places for procedures because of my overall facial line, lifting, and wrinkles I still haven’t decided where to go... Clinic name: ㅂㄹㄴ (Sofwave) Consultant: Director Park Miran Consultation fee: 50,000 won Consultation details: Concerns about double chin and deep cheek fat > They recommended 200 shots of Ultherapy for the lower face (double chin, deep cheek fat) and 200 shots of Sofwave for the midface (nasolabial folds, anterior cheeks) They explained that Ultherapy and Sofwave are both ultrasound devices, but Ultherapy reaches a slightly deeper layer They explained that it would be good to strongly lift the lower face with Ultherapy and proceed on the midface with Sofwave in a way that feels like lightly pressing it in When I asked about Thermage, they explained that ultrasound and radiofrequency have different effects, so it would be good for improving elasticity and pores Doing them together would have a good synergy effect They told me the procedure hurts and that anesthetic cream has to be applied I felt like the consultation was a bit rushed, and with Thermage, it felt more like it would be good to do but also okay not to, rather than a strong recommendation They didn’t ask anything like “Do you have any more questions?” and just said what they had to say and left Clinic name: ㅁㅈ (Ultherapy, Sofwave) Consultant: Director Kwon Hyuna Consultation fee: x Consultation details: After touching my skin with bare hands for quite a while, she explained that if I get Ultherapy, I should see good effects in the areas I’m concerned about When I asked if my skin layers were on the thin side, she said they were thin and I didn’t have much fat either. She said that to see better effects from Ultherapy, it’s good to have a certain amount of fat layer, but since I don’t, she honestly recommended Thermage, which is good for skin elasticity, while saying that Ultherapy would be more appropriate for solving the areas I’m concerned about. She said that first, instead of getting Ultherapy on the entire face, I should receive it up to the areas of concern, and slowly fill the sunken areas of my face with Sculptra, and that would make my face shape prettier than now. She recommended skin Botox over a skin booster, saying it would suit me better. She explained that they basically perform lifting procedures at a high intensity and said I would see good effects. She said Sculptra fills in gradually, so effects would appear from two months onward, and recommended considering Thermage after that if I was interested. She recommended avoiding the hollow cheeks and sunken areas of the face, and doing 400 shots of Ultherapy from the neck to the lower face only + 2–4 cc of Sculptra for the entire face. She explained how much 1 cc is and that one bottle of Sculptra is 2 cc, saying that getting two bottles generously would give good results. When I asked about Sofwave, she explained that it is a device that only has a tip similar to the shallowest-penetrating Ultherapy tip, and that it also improves the skin surface. Around the time the conversation was almost wrapping up, she looked in the mirror again and touched my face once more. Pointing with her hand to the sunken and protruding areas of my face, she explained that if the overall unevenness of the face is smoothed out, my face shape would improve. Clinic name: ㅍㅍ (eyebrow thread lifting) Consultant: Manager (said I could see the doctor in the procedure room) Consultation fee: x Consultation details: For ptosis, sagging eyelids, and hollowness, they recommended doing an eyebrow + forehead thread lift It is a method of fixing threads in the eyebrows and forehead and pulling them, using a basic 14–16 threads (advertised as unlimited, but even in most cases, it is around 16 threads at most) The doctor looks and mixes the necessary types of threads (I can’t see the doctor unless it’s the day of the procedure, so until then I don’t know what kind of threads will be used on me) Retention period is about 1 year. When I asked if the number of threads used would be the same if I came after 1 year, they said it depends on the condition I was told that another method is to come once every 6 months and add just a few threads at a time After the procedure, the forehead may temporarily become bumpy, but it returns within 2–3 days From 1 month after the procedure, it doesn’t matter what procedure I get, such as Botox or fillers I was told that because swelling moves downward, my eyes would be a bit swollen for a while I showed disappointment about not being able to consult with the doctor myself, but unless I proceeded with the procedure, there didn’t seem to be any separate way Clinic name: ㅂㅇㅇㅇㅈㅇ Consultant: Director Kim Minju (Ultherapy, Thermage) Consultation fee: X Consultation details: She recommended procedures one by one for my main concerns (pores in the butterfly zone, sagging deep cheek fat, dry skin). She said the pores in the butterfly zone are not that severe, so there is no need to go as far as Fraxel and recommended Ultherapy and Thermage. She recommended 400–500 shots of Ultherapy and 300 shots of Thermage. She took photos of me with a pad and explained together where the sagging areas are, and how she would divide the shots to lift and tidy wrinkles such as nasolabial folds When I said the corners of my mouth look droopy, she said she would pull from both sides and above that area, and proceed while taking that into account. When I said I was also a little concerned about forehead wrinkles, she looked at my eyes and said that if I put filler in my forehead now, opening my eyes could feel even heavier than now, so she did not recommend it. She told me I could try Ultherapy and Thermage periodically and improve it to some extent. If I proceed with the procedure, she said they would look at my skin layers once more with ultrasound before the procedure, and the shots would be delivered according to the thickness
