Eye Re-Surgery@eye-redo

Review of weeks 2~3 after lower-eyelid fat repositioning

Since I was young, my under-eye area was a big concern, and even though I’m still in my late 20s, the tear troughs under my eyes have gradually gotten worse as I’ve aged, so I tried pretty much every highlighter and concealer. Even simple makeup always took over an hour, and the pain of it still not being covered... This time, with family photos + a profile shoot and my master’s graduation ceremony coming up, I wanted to leave pretty records, so I finally decided to get lower-eyelid fat repositioning. It was my first surgery ever, so I was very nervous, but the consultant and director kindly explained things throughout the consultation and answered my questions well, so I trusted them and had surgery the same day. I’m still amazed by my decisiveness that day. I had surgery with Director Kim Da-som. During the consultation, the director said the hollowing in the cheek area connected to the tear trough would be good to treat together and recommended fat grafting, but I was scared and refused. They respected my choice without pressure, which made me feel even more at ease. After surgery, as the under-eye area became taut, the hollowing toward the cheek looked slightly more noticeable, but on the follow-up day, the director said I could do it later if I wanted, and instead worried that because I’m on the thin side, there might not be enough fat to harvest if I did itㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ For recovery, I also drank the pumpkin juice my friend gave me as a gift, used eye drops, and diligently did cold and warm compresses. I also went to the clinic and received swelling laser treatment. My graduation ceremony was just 2 weeks after surgery, but most of the swelling had gone down. I’m the type whose bruises don’t fade easily, so there was a very slight yellowish tint left, but it was coverable with makeup, and thanks to that I was able to get both the photo-shoot pictures and graduation photos looking pretty. Now it has been one month since surgery, and I’m really satisfied every single day. Pigmented dark circles can’t be helped, but those can be covered with concealer, so I’m not too bothered. More than anything, my makeup time has been cut in half and my face looks much brighter, so I’m really glad I did it!!
