I’d been thinking about double eyelid surgery for a really long time but had never gone for a consultation. Then I saw a place with review photos I liked, got a sudden feeling about it, narrowed it down to three places, and went. I originally wanted glamorous semi-out eyes, but after actually going to consultations, the look I wanted changed in the meantime.. lol So I booked consultations at two other places too.. lol 1. Yelㄹㅇ-ㅇㅌㄱ This was my first consultation. I knew there would be a long wait, but it ended right around when I was starting to get nervous that I might be late for my next appointment lol. It took 20 minutes until the consultant came in, 30 minutes until the director came in, about 10 minutes for the consultation, and then after talking about various things with the consultant, I think it took about 1 hour 20 minutes total. This place had the longest wait.. Recommended procedures: upper canthoplasty + partial incision -> recommended in-out line The incision bothered me a bit, and the upper canthoplasty bothered me a bit too. The distance at the front of my eyes wasn’t wide, and my lacrimal caruncle was already quite exposed.. The price was reasonable. There was no pressure to pay a deposit. 2. Deuㄹㅅ-ㅎㅅㅈ When I went to the clinic, there were a lot of people. Like other people said, it looked like there were a lot of filler clients. Compared with how crowded it was, I don’t think I waited that long. About 20 minutes? The consultant had made an in-out line for me, but the director said a semi-out line was possible, and the line they made was so pretty that I was seriously tempted for a moment lol. But they suggested natural adhesion + partial ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty + posterior lower canthoplasty (optional). The price was over my budget, and there were too many surgeries I hadn’t expected, so I paid a deposit but eventually canceled 3. Naㄴ-ㅇㅁㄹ Maybe because the clinic had an entire building to itself, they gave free coffee in the lobby and the consultation rooms were really flashy. Whoa. The wait wasn’t that long either. I didn’t look up the director separately beforehand, so I just had a consultation with the director the clinic recommended. They shaped the line naturally and well, and without unnecessary procedures, they recommended only natural adhesion, with ptosis correction as optional. The price was also the cheapest of the three.. lol The consultant did pressure me a little to pay a deposit. I got the urge so suddenly that I chose clinics with glamorous reviews and went for consultations, but after coming home and looking up various things, I started thinking that rather than definitely having glamorous eyes, eyes that suit me would probably be best.. And since the clinics recommended in-out more often than semi-out, I looked for clinics that seemed good at natural-looking in-out lines, and next week I’m planning to go to Aㅇㅌ(ㅇㅎㅂ) and Jeㅇㅌ(ㅇㅎㅎ)!! What I felt from going around in person is that you really do have to go to find out what suits your eyes, the prices can definitely be compared, and the recommended surgeries are so different... I think in the end I have to choose well myself.. If I get surgery, it’ll stay with me for life, so let’s not rush too much, look into it carefully, and succeed.
