Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Photo 40 days after surgery. Conflicted about revision surgery. Please help. So…

It has been 42 days since my rhinoplasty, They said it was an L-shaped silicone implant, and the nasal tip was wrapped with temporal fascia. (I was shocked after surgery when I found out it was L-shaped silicone) But I regained my composure and am trying to find a way to survive this. Before surgery, when I went to several hospitals for consultations, they said it was surgery for a low nose, so it was an easy nose, and that my nasal line was an ideal nasal line! But now my side-profile nasal line has completely changed. (I don’t have a full side-profile photo from before surgery..) My face is small and has a cute impression, so what I wanted was just a slightly raised overall feeling. That’s why I wanted about 2 mm.. But the doctor said I needed 3-4 mm, that that was normal, and that 2 mm wouldn’t show at all. But now it feels like they raised it by 1 cm. But thinking about it now, I wonder whether I should have done 2 mm. They changed my nose shape. Before surgery: a low, short, cute nose After surgery: it looks high and long. (Compared with the photos, when I see it in person or in the mirror, because of the straight 1 1 lines of the bridge and the dark shadows, it looks mu~~ch higher. Those photos make it look lower because of the lighting. In photos, it isn’t obvious that it looks long. But compared with my old facial features, my nose looks longer.) As you can see, my mouth is not protruding, but because my lips curl upward, from the side my nose was low and my mouth could look slightly protruded, which was a bit of a complex for me. After surgery, because of how much they projected the nasal tip, my mouth looks sunken in. This much is really not right. This really isn’t right. It’s hard to tell in photos, but it’s like that in real life. A friend I met after several months said I used to have a Jang Nara image, but now I look like Kang Hye-jung.. Kang Hye-jung has a mouth that is set in.. ㅠㅠ That means my mouth looks sunken in... I’m sad... The doctor overdid it too much.. The nose might have suited someone else well, but on me it’s really, really not right!! I didn’t want a big change in my impression, and I thought it wouldn’t happen, but my family is upset, saying my former cute impression has disappeared. My family says I should think about revision surgery. When I had surgery this time, I went through so much, so I don’t want to do it again, but living with an impression changed like this seems even harder. My head hurts like it’s going to split. So I thought I have to live too, I can’t just keep crying like this, and I need to get my former impression back, so I’m asking questions. 1. Does my nose look long because an L-shaped silicone implant was inserted? (One of the things that changed my impression drastically is that my nose looks long. (My formerly short nasal tip became long)) 2. Doesn’t the bridge look tilted to the left? (The right side tapers naturally, but when I touch the bridge between the left side of the glabella, I can distinctly feel the silicone.) Is this crooked? (Within about one week to 10 days after surgery, the director pushed the left nasal bridge completely to the right. I don’t know whether it looked that way to him too, but anyway it hurt enough to make me cry.) 3. The left side of the nasal tip seems shorter. I can clearly see it with my own eyes, but what do you all think? Please look carefully.. 4. If I request revision surgery, saying that I asked for it to be low, but they made it high and long and changed my impression, and ask to replace the silicone with an I-shaped implant, do I have to pay? 5. If an I-shaped silicone implant is placed, can the temporal fascia that wrapped the nasal tip be reused? (Before surgery, it should only have been raised about 2-2.5 mm from my original nose).. (I don’t know how many mm it is now. I asked the director, but he said whether he put in 5 mm or 1 cm, you people don’t know. He said it’s luck and feel.) 6. They told me to come to the clinic at 3 months. If I have to pay, I don’t understand why. (I didn’t ask for a high nose or for the nasal tip to be raised like other people; I just asked them to keep my own nose as it was, make it unnoticeable and natural..) Please, I’m begging for answers.. Now I can’t keep crying every day and letting myself go. I think the time has come to find a way to live.. -------------------------------------------------- I read the replies everyone left. Thank you They were answers I expected, and because there is a big difference between the post-surgery photos and how I look in real life, some people may find it hard to distinguish. Since I didn’t upload my full face, it may be even harder to tell. As for my post-surgery nose, except for it leaning to the left and the left nasal length becoming shorter, it might be a naturally well-done nose on someone else. But it just doesn’t suit me at all. I hate the thought of revision surgery terribly and cried a lot over it. I’m also very fearful, and maybe because this was my first surgery, I cried myself to sleep every day until about one month had passed. With my current nose, I’m suffering so much. The only options are removing the silicone or revision surgery. What I think is this: there’s no guarantee that revision surgery will make it look similar to my old nose, and there’s no guarantee I won’t end up doing it a third or fourth time. When I read posts in this community, do you think those people did it expecting to have surgery multiple times? Everyone wants it to end with one surgery. I did too, but this nose is making me suffer too much. It keeps me from going outside. It’s not, as someone replied, “because I don’t like it”; it’s “because it’s too different from my pre-surgery nose (they ignored my request to keep my old nose as it was).” So I think my impression changed drastically. Even though before surgery my nose was low and my side profile was flat, there were people who said my old look was very pretty (because it suited me well), and told me not to do it. That’s how right my old nose was for my face.. I never thought the nose shape would change this much.. because I hadn’t asked them to make it high.., With how I look now, it’s too hard. If revision surgery can’t bring back my old nose, I’m even thinking of removing the silicone this time. That’s how serious it is... Saying “because I don’t like it” makes it sound like I had huge expectations, as if I thought I would become very different and prettier. When I read posts in this community, people say it’s so unnoticeable that nobody even knows they had it done... For me, a close friend I’ve known for 10 years saw me 3 days before surgery and then saw me 2 months after surgery. At our first meeting after surgery, it was, “Did you get a nose job?”... I said, “Is it obvious?ㅠㅠ” Before surgery, during the roughly 10-second consultation, I said I wanted just a slightly raised overall feeling from my own nose, not noticeable, and that I hated anything high, pointy, or big. I clearly remember what the doctor said!! He said, “Are you going to complain that it’s low?” and sent me out. Is the current look the result of that? I’m saying clearly: was it that hard to raise my old nose as it was by 2 mm so it wouldn’t show? Just enough so my glasses wouldn’t slide down? Is that result this look? They ignored what I said and raised it their own way, according to their own thoughts, and the director did nothing wrong? (From his perspective, this probably isn’t high, because these days so many people ask for it to be even higher. He didn’t look at the harmony with my face. Then..), and are you thinking it’s just that I “don’t like” my post-surgery nose? If he was going to do it like this, I’m so angry that he acted so charismatic, didn’t consult properly, only said what he wanted to say, and sent me out!!! Some asked how many millimeters he raised it. Of course I asked after surgery too. Because it was so high.. The director said whether he raised it 5 mm or 1 cm, you people don’t know. He said it’s luck and feel. But really, it feels like it was raised 1 cm... I’m going crazy. Maybe that’s why it still feels tight.. How much did he push it up.. And also, my face is extremely small. On an average face, it may not be high, long, or big. But because my face is so small, on me it looks high, big, and long.
