I decided on revision surgery, but is it really right that I have to pay more???? A family member had severe asymmetry, so I got double eyelid surgery for them. At the first consultation, they marked an outline crease, and I thought that would be fine. It was very expensive, but it was recommended by someone I know, so I trusted it, and because I wanted it done properly, I chose this hospital.. But after the surgery, the sagging skin hadn’t improved, and one side became an inner double eyelid Of course, compared with before surgery, the asymmetry was corrected somewhat, but the eyes are still uneven, and it makes no sense for an outline crease to become an inline crease. At the consultation, I saw the eyes they marked in the simulation and judged that they would make them like that; I didn’t interfere with the surgical method at all. I didn’t even know whether buried suture surgery was possible for someone over 60. (ptosis correction + buried suture + fat removal) We talked about these things and decided on revision surgery, and there was some back-and-forth, but we agreed to do it again with an incision. But they said since the surgical method has changed, we have to pay an additional fee for that. I asked why we should have to pay that. They said they weren’t asking us to pay all of it, but that we should pay some additional cost because incision surgery is a more expensive method. They did say that if we absolutely couldn’t pay, they could just do it, but their tone was really reluctant. They spoke as if their feelings were hurt. I had said things like I trust the director’s skills, but they said it’s more about how sincerely they put effort into it than skill So does that mean if they feel offended, they won’t do their best?? That made me feel even more uneasy. Then they told me to discuss the amount further with the manager, but the manager wasn’t there, so I think we’ll end up talking about it next time. Honestly, I want to get a full refund and have the revision done somewhere else, but realistically I don’t think that’s possible Do I really have to worry about the director’s mood in this situation too Should I just pay whatever they ask? What kind of tone should I use when talking to the manager? I really brought them there trying to do something filial, so I’m so upset that this issue happened
토리어부 Ah, that really feels unsettling...; Why can’t you get a refund?

haniii There is a crease, but the eyelid is covering it.. The hospital was so confident that I felt a full refund probably wouldn’t be possible This cost over 3 million won If it’s not a full refund, having revision surgery somewhere else would probably start from 3 million won too, so I thought it would be a burden. To bring up a refund, I’d have to be prepared not to have the revision done there, but since I’m not sure I can get a full refund, I couldn’t bring myself to say it easily For this result, I think even 500,000 won is a waste, so I really hated the idea of a partial refund too.. But even though I didn’t speak that strongly, their attitude of being offended was absurd.. I’m worried about how I should talk to the manager Thank you so much for your reply

haniii [@Tori Fisher] It really feels so unsettling.. I want to do it if there’s a guarantee I can get a full refund But this is a hospital that even talks about extra costs for revision surgery, so I’m scared I won’t get a refund and things will get even worse This result is truly not even worth 500,000 won..
haniii Is that really what it is? I’m so angry..
Mapiec They said it’s more about how sincerely they put effort into it than skill So does that mean if they feel offended, they won’t do their best?? That made me feel even more uneasy. >>>>>> That’s so absurd. If it were me, I would have said right there, are you threatening me right now!!!!!! I would have gone off, asking how a hospital can say that if we don’t pay extra, they won’t put in full effort when they’re the ones who made the mistake!!!!!!!
뽀기맘맘 What happened?? Did you have surgery there??
