First of all, I have eyes with a lot of fat but thin skin... Because I had a lot of fat and my eyes looked a bit sleepy, they recommended the incisional method, so I said okay.
In the end, I decided to get incisional double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty.
And from the day of surgery until about 3 months afterward, I felt like I was dying because of the swelling.
The swelling really, seriously just would not go down for me. At 3 months, it looked like other people's 1-month mark? Almost that level... So I went to the clinic and asked, but they only told me to wait...
Everyone I met kept saying things like my eyes were very swollen, when would the swelling go down, and that I shouldn't have done it. People who know will know how stressful those words are and how much they lower your self-esteem...
Anyway, after enduring it and waiting, today is exactly 5 months and 18 days... Look at this...
All the photos were taken today. The vibe doesn't really show in the photos, but in real life they are way too intense. There is still fat left on my upper eyelids, and the area below the double eyelid line protrudes, so my eyes look really bulging and intense... Everyone I saw today said it looks like I'm only about 2 months post-op now.
Honestly, the line being awkwardly high is one thing, but seriously, only my eyes stand out. They say that even from far away, only my eyes look frighteningly sharp and noticeable.
In short, the double eyelid line is way too deep... They say major swelling is usually gone by around 6 months... Of course, I know I'm the type whose swelling goes down extremely slowly, and I know it differs from person to person... But this is really too muchㅜㅜ
All you can see are my eyes and the double eyelid lines... Everyone says to wait 1 year for incisional surgery, but even at 6 months, I still have a lot of swelling left and the line is very distinct.
So I wonder whether it will really change after 1 year...
For now, when I reach 6 months, I'm planning to have the epicanthoplasty restored... I'm looking into several clinics, so if there is anywhere you would recommend, please leave a comment...
Anyway, I'm really worried... Everyone, if the double eyelid fixation was deep, will it become lighter after about 1 year? Sigh... Epicanthoplasty restoration also costs a lot...
Double eyelid revision surgery costs a huge amount too.
Everyone, will I get better?
Please be honest with me
