[Mighty] Has anyone had rhinoplasty here or knows anything about it?

I did it here. I had surgery on 7/4, and it's almost been two months now... I'm recovering smoothly. If you look at the posts I wrote, there's also a review after visiting 7 clinics for consultations. What are you curious about? If you ask in a reply, I'll answer.

[@복코여신] Thank you for answering!! First, 1. My nose involves shaving down the hump and touching the nasal bridge, nasal tip, and columella, and other hospitals were doing general anesthesia. But this place uses sedation anesthesia, and there is a difference between general anesthesia and sedation anesthesia, right? So I was wondering if sedation anesthesia is still okay!! 2. Since I'm having surgery using autologous costal cartilage, how much pain is there when you wake up from anesthesia? 3. [@감자임다] And when I looked at premium reviews in this community, it seemed like they weren't very good at correcting a deviated nose. After surgery, was there anything like your nose being even a little crooked or your nostrils being uneven??!!

[@감자임다] 1. When I was going around to consultations, there were places that did general anesthesia too, but general anesthesia is much more dangerous and your body has a harder time afterward. Doing it under sedation anesthesia is much better. You'll know if you search it. Sedation anesthesia is still anesthesia, so it's not like it isn't hard at all, but it was just a few days of feeling tired and sleepy? Other than that, there were no issues. 2. When I woke up from anesthesia, the autologous costal cartilage area just ached, and the bigger issue was that my nose was blocked with cotton, so it was very stuffy. And when coughing or sneezing + when pooping, etc., basically when straining, the autologous costal cartilage area feels heavy and pulls, so it hurts. I think this got better after about 3 weeks. 3. After surgery, the director's and coordinator's attitudes didn't change. I heard there are a lot of hospitals like that, so I worried about this a lot too, but they still examined me well, kindly and warmly, explaining calmly. 4. Mine was also my first nose surgery, and I had bulbous nose + deviated nose + hump shaving + alar reduction. I had a low nasal bridge + high nasal tip + thick skin, and at first after removing the splint, my nasal bridge looked crooked and my nostrils looked uneven too, but after about a month they were fine. I almost got mentally wrecked during that period too, but I waited while mind-controlling myself to trust the director because the surgery probably went well and just stay at ease. And I haven't had even one drop of alcohol so far, and I started smoking only after the one-month follow-up appointment. If you follow only the things they tell you not to do, you'll recover well without things like inflammation.

[@복코여신] Thank you so much for the detailed answer The reason I asked about anesthesia is that since they have to shave, raise, and refine the nose, with sedation anesthesia there might be a chance I move, but with general anesthesia I wouldn't move at all, so I was worried that if I moved even by chance, it might affect the surgery!! And I thought that if it's autologous costal cartilage, wouldn't they do general anesthesia haha. I'm relieved about that part since you say surgery goes well even with sedation anesthesia!! I'm scared that I'll flinch even though I'm under sedation anesthesia Still, it doesn't hurt a lot afterward, that's a relief!! Looking at your post, it seems you were recommended both silicone and autologous costal cartilage. Did you also put in silicone then? They told me I can't put in silicone because my skin is thin.. [@감자임다] Even with sedation anesthesia, they tie up your arms and legs anyway, so there's no way you'll move. Don't worry hahaha My skin is thick and I practically had no nasal bridge, so I put in 5 mm silicone, and for the nasal tip I used autologous costal cartilage. The director said that before making the incision, he checks the rib to use in advance by poking it with a needle and uses the one in good condition. (When I asked the director afterward, he said he used the 6th rib.) I'm doing everything else the same as before surgery now, but I'm a bit scared of alcohol and makeup, so I'm not doing those. After I pass the two-month mark, I'm thinking of doing them... I'm also itching to write the review all at once then hahaha (I'm planning to write it loooong and detailed like the consultation-hopping review)

[@복코여신] Oh, how is the columellar scar? Does the director suture it well? And when shaving down the hump, did you have an osteotomy? When I got my consultation, I think the director said he would do it, but when I asked the coordinator, she said he wouldn't. Since the coordinator wrote it down after listening to what the director said, that must be right, right?

[@감자임다] I was lazy, so even though I bought scar ointment, I only applied it 2-3 times, but the scar is almost invisible even with a bare face. (Today is day 57) And I didn't have an osteotomy for the hump.
