After <this was around the 2-month mark! It was a day when I had especially little swelling> Before <wow, looking at it now, I can’t even imagine my old face lololol> My eyes were okay-ish horizontally, but they were slightly sharp-looking and too short vertically, so I was always stressed about them. That’s why I really, really wanted double eyelid surgery, and I finally got cosmetic surgery for the first time during summer vacation.
Honestly, I didn’t research Tami that much because it was close to home and I thought it was fairly well-known in Incheon. People around me said double eyelid surgery was almost like a simple procedure, so I figured they wouldn’t be bad at it and went for a consultation.
I remember the consultants being extremely kind. Of course, even someone who’s usually ice-cold would probably be nice during a consultation.. anyway, they didn’t pressure me too much, and after talking with the director, he explained things well according to my eyes, so I took one face photo, scheduled a date, and went home.
On the day of surgery, I saw the director again, washed my face, and went into the operating room. I greeted the director, and when the nurse clipped something onto my finger, I heard the beeping sound of my heartbeat, so I got even more nervous for no reason ㅠ lol
That was my first time under sedation anesthesia, and it was seriously fascinating. It felt like getting dizzy and being pulled in? When I opened my eyes, the director said I did well, and with the nurse supporting me, I went to the recovery room, stayed there for about 20 minutes, and went home.
But afterward, during follow-ups, the line sizes on my right and left eyes were different, so I think I had revision surgery twice.. lololololol At first, the left side was low, so they raised it, but when I went back for another follow-up, the right side was especially high, so they actually lowered it.
Of course, since it was the clinic’s mistake, I had both surgeries comfortably under sedation anesthesia without any major issues, but it was still bothersome that it didn’t end in one go ㅜㅠ Everyone, make sure to check the line carefully and tell them to do it so you won’t need revision surgery.. I feel like that might make them pay more attention.
Anyway, I’m living very satisfied now! During the consultation, the director said my eyes were originally fine without epicanthoplasty, so I only had double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction and an incisional method. But I still have some lingering regret, so I’m planning to get lateral canthoplasty sometime within 1-2 years. Once I made my eyes a bit bigger, I keep feeling like I want them even bigger..
Oh, and I had no major swelling at all, only minor swelling that lasted for quite a long time. They said I should wait up to 6 months, but from the 4-month mark, mine looked almost the same as now! What’s a bit sad is that incisional surgery does show signs of having been done
