<Before><After>I’m just going to list out, purely, the things I personally felt. I’m a man, and I originally didn’t think much about plastic surgery, but because of one particular trigger (it was personal), I ended up changing jobs, and naturally I became interested in my appearance too. But rather than fixing little things here and there, I thought I should start by fixing the biggest framework first, so I got facial contouring surgery. People around me often asked why I was doing it, but now my face shape has changed from round and ambiguous to sharper, so my satisfaction is high, and everyone tends to say I look better now. The biggest reason I decided on surgery was that I have one friend around me who had facial contouring done. For about a week, that friend just kept crying about how painful it was, but once the bruising and swelling went down, it looked really good. Honestly, I felt that if your facial features are already decent, satisfaction after facial contouring seems high. It’s been 5 years since that friend had surgery, but there’s no sagging and they can open their mouth well, so I felt half envious and half like I wanted to become like that too, which is why I got it done. I got a lot of information from my friend, and the clinic where I had surgery was also one of the clinics my friend had gone to for consultation. What I considered most important was that I went in thinking about doing all 3 procedures, so I learned in my own way how the surgery is done and the surgical methods through things like clinic websites and YouTube videos. Since facial contouring is a difficult surgery, the surgical methods differ by clinic, but most things are written on their websites. So don’t say you can’t really tell during online research... It’s true that things become clearer once you go in person for consultations, but it’s not to the point where you should be completely dumbfounded. Also, you need to learn at least somewhat before going into a consultation so you don’t just stupidly say “yes, yes” and come back. Facial contouring is a surgery with major trauma to the body... I really think it’s right to study to some extent before going. I was also really worried about pain after surgery, but honestly, all I can say is that it really hurts, hurts, and hurts. I think I understand why my friend said it hurt for the entire week... And it’s kind of funny how, like a lie, after a few days pass, it becomes bearable. In the beginning, of course, I couldn’t eat properly, so I was extremely hungry, and because of that I had no energy. Even if you can technically do daily activities, you can pretty much assume you can’t do them properly because you have no energy lol. Since I couldn’t open my mouth well even to brush my teeth, my breath smelled awful. Still, if you get through that time well, the bruising and swelling go down completely, and you can definitely see that your face shape has changed. I didn’t Photoshop it, and I just brought any photo, covered only the distinctive parts that seemed like they could identify me, and uploaded it. If I only think about the facial contouring process, it was seriously brutal..... but I really think I did the right thing by doing it.
