<First, showing from after surgery, look at the nasal bridge><This is before surgery, I brought a screenshot of an old photo><Now again, current (after surgery), you can see the difference better, right?><It was a nose with a bulbous tip and a dorsal hump><It’s been over 5 months and there have been no problems so far>The biggest thing I’d been unhappy about when looking at my nose was the dorsal hump. It just looked bumpy to anyone, and my nose didn’t feel attractive. It’s not that I was interested in rhinoplasty from the start, but from middle school through an all-boys middle school, all-boys high school, and a male-dominated college department, I couldn’t even imagine touching my face until then. But I became an adult, joined a study group to prepare for employment, and my interest in appearance suddenly increased. Even if people around me were just saying it casually, I kept hearing that I’d be more handsome if I only got my nose done. And one by one, friends around me also started getting cosmetic surgery.. Usually it was eye surgeries like under-eye fat repositioning or ptosis correction, but I had no attachment to my eyes and my nose was the biggest problem, so I went for nose consultations. It was hard to look into it alone, so a female friend I met in the study group helped me, and at first it was awkward; I even asked her to come to consultations with me, but after going once, I felt I could do it alone, so I ended up visiting 5 places by myself. Statistically speaking, all 5 places said my nose needed osteotomy. Among them, there were places that said that without even looking at a CT scan; at first I wondered, does it look that severe just by visual inspection? But at Banana, they reviewed the CT with me and the doctor explained it, so I wondered why the others didn’t look at one.. Anyway, I had osteotomy of the dorsal hump, and since the bulbous tip was also severe when seen from the front, I had that done too. They said my septal cartilage was small for a man, so donor costal cartilage was also used, and 6 mm of silicone was inserted. At first I freaked out because of the height, but I heard even people who want a natural look get 3–4 mm inserted, so I guess it’s best to use what fits you. Honestly, after rhinoplasty, I regretted it more. (Exactly during recovery, yeah) My nose felt much stuffier than I expected, and I hadn’t really felt nasal congestion much in my life, but I realized how grateful I should be to breathe through my nose lol It was so stuffy that I kept contacting the manager too, but they said it would get much better once the cotton and splint were removed, so I endured it and waited. It’s definitely nothing much once the splint comes off. From then on, I watched more closely how the nose shape would change rather than how hard it was. 2–3 weeks - There was a lot of swelling from the glabella to the sides of the nasal bridge. It was probably because I had osteotomy too. 3–4 weeks - The swelling got much better. I did all normal daily activities, and the bumpiness of the nasal bridge was gone, so my satisfaction increased. After 1 month or more - Nothing difficult. Instead, I became careful in case something hit my nose. Originally, the dorsal hump was my first priority, but after actually doing it, my satisfaction with the bulbous nose correction is also high. I thought, this is why people get their noses done. After that, there hasn’t been anything particularly hard, so there isn’t really anything else to write. Sometimes I get teased that it’s a fake nose, but I take that as jealousy lol. Rather than hearing teasing, I’m hearing much more that I’ve become handsome, so my satisfaction is high.
