Before surgery, I really had a lot on my mind. More than ten years ago, I had surgery at a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul, and as a side effect, the tip of my nose drooped and became red. To resolve this, I went for consultations at several well-known plastic surgery clinics in Busan and Seoul. Most of the answers I got were things like, “Because your skin is thin, it will be difficult to increase the height,” “If an implant is inserted, it may show through,” “It would be difficult with anything other than autologous costal cartilage, but even that cannot be guaranteed,” and so on... I could not even clearly find out why my skin was becoming red, itchy, and inflamed. Even after going to consultations, my concerns were not resolved, so I almost reached the point of giving up, thinking, “I guess I just have to live like this.” Then one day, I happened to learn about Dr. Guk Kyung-hoon at a plastic surgery clinic, and I really think that was a stroke of luck. It was a popular clinic, so after waiting several months, my consultation finally came, and like at other clinics, I had a CT scan. But from that point on, I felt what made this clinic different. The sincere kindness and consideration of the staff, as well as the cleanliness of the clinic, were impressive, and although I had been to many consultations at different clinics, Dr. Guk Kyung-hoon was the only person who discovered that there was a foreign material in my nose that I had not known about for more than ten years. The consultant also checked everything carefully, but I was truly grateful that the doctor personally spent a long time sharply and accurately understanding my situation, and listened to everything even though I was rambling on about what I was worried about and what I wanted. I think I understand why everyone keeps talking about that clinic Since mine was a revision surgery, I had to be even more cautious, and going all the way from another region to Seoul was also a big decision. Before the surgery, I worried so much, wondering, “Will my red nose really return to normal? Will I get the natural-looking nose I want?” But now… all those worries feel completely unnecessary. What I wanted was a nose that was not too high, just natural and pretty, and the doctor’s skill was truly a stroke of luck. The finish is so clean that it does not look unnatural even up close, and I am extremely satisfied with both the side view and the front view. Honestly, I was a little worried on the day the first splint was removed. Because of the swelling, my face looked like an Avatar, so I thought, “Is this really my nose?” But now that I am in week 2, a lot of the swelling has gone down, and it is becoming more and more natural. Every day when I look in the mirror, I think, “I can’t believe I have a nose like this…” and I feel so happy. There is still a little swelling left, but when I think about how my nose will become even prettier from now on, I feel excited, and the time I spent worrying feels like such a waste. Even if I could turn back time, I would absolutely have my surgery done by Dr. Guk Kyung-hoon again! Doctor, consultant, nurses, and all the other clinic staff, thank you so much. I am this satisfied at week 2, so I am really excited for the days ahead as the swelling goes down
