Hello, I am leaving a 6-month review after double-jaw surgery + facial contouring surgery with Director Shin Hee-jin at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. I had a lot of discomfort in daily life because of my underbite (prognathism). It was normal for my lower jaw muscles to tense up and hurt when chewing, and my facial asymmetry kept getting worse, so I eventually decided to have surgery! For the hospital, I excluded plastic surgery clinics and chose an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic. Among them, EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was a clinic with many reviews on several platforms. The photos and reviews were posted really thoroughly. In particular, I trusted them after seeing reviews from male patients with similar cases, so after consultation, I proceeded! To briefly talk about my progress, at first my nose was stuffy and of course it was difficult, but I remember feeling very grateful because the staff took kind care of me. Then time passed, and from the 1-month mark I was undergoing post-surgical orthodontic treatment, and for meals I have been eating mainly soft foods among regular foods. The swelling had gone down a lot compared with the first week, and this was a time when I could feel small changes every time I looked in the mirror. From the 2-month mark, you can basically say there was almost no discomfort in daily life. The swelling definitely went down a lot, and even when I met coworkers or friends, I only heard things like “Did you lose some weight?” and in many cases they did not know I had surgery. However, because of the orthodontic treatment, I still ate carefully. At the 3-month mark, because it was post-surgical orthodontic treatment, there was some discomfort from tooth movement, but there was no problem eating or talking. I remember eating lunch with my coworkers at work just fine. From the 4-month mark, I finally started exercising too, and the movement of my facial muscles became smoother. Overall, almost all the discomfort I had before surgery disappeared! And now I am at the 6-month mark. I think the swelling has almost all gone down. Other than the discomfort from orthodontic treatment, everything else is really comfortable. When I see my jawline in photos, I think I made the right choice having double-jaw surgery^^!!! My personal overall review: 1. Satisfaction after double-jaw surgery + facial contouring surgery is super high 2. Underbite improved + jaw muscle pain relieved! 3. Recovery speed varies by individual, but for me, almost normal daily life was possible from months 2-3 4. Post-surgical orthodontic treatment is essential, but after surgery, the temporomandibular joint and chewing function became much more comfortable If you are worried because of prognathism, facial asymmetry, and underbite like I was, I recommend EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Dental Clinic!~
