I don’t remember exactly how long it has been since I had LASIK, but it has been about 5 to 10 years. At the time, I think it was second-generation SMILE LASIK? And I understand that now it’s probably fourth-generation? or beyond. I also had wavefront or something for glare. Currently, I don’t think I have dry eye, but I do have a little glare. Driving at night is hard. I feel like my vision has gotten worse faster than friends around me who had LASEK and look at their phones really often. If I use my phone even a little, things get hazy, and even when I don’t, I often feel my vision has declined. (Recently I’ve been squinting more when I can’t see well.) In the beginning, I managed it well and did eye exercises, but now I live with the feeling that if I can’t see, I’ll just wear glasses. (I do a little eye exercise. I barely use my phone.) But whether it’s LASIK or LASEK, if you’re considering it, I recommend doing it.
