I was going to write this on the photo review board, but apparently you can only post there once every 60 days.. so I’ll write it here I had a very puffy face in my 20s -> puffy upper eyelids, so wherever I went, I was always told I needed incisional surgery. My last double eyelid surgery was about 7 or 8 years ago, done by incision. It was just a reasonably natural in-out line. It wasn’t super thin. But as time passed, the skin on my upper eyelids gradually came down. It would have been fine if the double eyelid line had come down evenly from start to end (left eye), but on my right eye, the middle part over the pupil came down a lot, so the double eyelid looked distorted, you know? I got annoyed and booked a consultation. The consultation review is in my previous post. Anyway, so I proceeded with natural adhesion and upper canthoplasty. My eyes had drooped and the skin had come down, but the doctor told me the skin wasn’t completely loose and floppy. And because my previous surgery was incisional, the fixation was on the stronger side, so even though this was natural adhesion, they said they fixed it somewhat deeply. Deep fixation + high line -> swelling and sausage-like look last longer That’s expected. From the day of surgery until day 7 when the stitches were removed, I did wonder if the line was a bit high, but since it is about 1-1.5 higher than my previous line, I expect it will be an appropriate height. Anyway, I got my stitches removed today, and looking at the eye shape, the previous line is green,, the new natural adhesion line is red,, and the upper canthoplasty is pink,, but when I close and open my eyes, it doesn’t connect from red to pink, it drops from red - ? - green. I marked the ? part in purple. Both sides are like that, but the right side is less severe, and the left side is a bit more severe, so when I open my eyes, it creates an angular line. When I asked about this part, they said the upper canthoplasty area has a lot of swelling, so it protrudes and the skin does not fold well there. They said once the swelling goes down, the skin will fold along the upper canthoplasty line. There actually is some swelling from the upper canthoplasty area to the upper eyelid. It’s puffy. I’ll watch this part and mention it in my next review. If I open my eyes casually, it isn’t noticeable, but the more I open them wide, the sharper the bent angle becomes. The photo is with my eyes opened moderately casually but with some care. It looks less noticeable in the photo, and it bothers me a bit more in real life.
얌 When your eyes are closed, the front of the left eye has a very steep slope, so I think that’s why it looks like that. The line itself is fixed deeply and is also high, so I think you’ll have to wait for now..! Usually the line shape stays the same as the swelling goes down, so I do think that part may remain high, but it’ll probably be better than now
냠냠념 [@] Yeah, I think so too lol I guess it’ll bother me less as it becomes more natural.. Or later I’ll ask them to add one more stitch to make the upper canthoplasty area smoother Thanks for your opinion, friend~
얌 [@냠냠념] Right, once it becomes more natural, it’ll bother you way less!! Usually the anxiety peaks until about 3 months, so this feels disappointing and that feels disappointing, but after living with it longer than that, even if something feels lacking, you end up accepting it and living with it!! It’s only day 7, so let’s work hard on swelling care
밍켈구우 It’s so helpful that you left an honest review. This is exactly the kind of detailed review I needed!!!
냠냠념 [@밍켈구우] Yeah, seeing that both the doctor and the consultant said, “Let’s check it at the one-month follow-up,” I don’t think they’re the type to pretend not to know. There’s also AS within 1 year. But it’s best to finish it in one go~ For now, if the swelling goes down and it settles properly along the inner corner opening line, I’ll leave another review right away
에에에 Good review good good. I had mine done here too, and the line looks similar. At first, the front part was a bit high too, so I was really worried
냠냠념 [@] Is the front part okay now? From what I see, even if the overall line comes down, I don’t think the bent angle will get better How did yours become okay?

주접뱅이 There’s still quite a lot of swelling, and the connection at the front of the eye will need to be watched until later. Before, my younger sibling had an angular line too, but later as the swelling went down, it connected, so I was really amazed
냠냠념 [@주접뱅이] About how long did it take for your younger sibling’s line to come down? Even roughly~
한걸음 Please definitely leave a review about the part that bothers you. I went for a consultation too, and ㅇㅇㅅㅊㄷ seemed good
냠냠념 [@] Okay okay, I'm planning to bring it up when I go for my 1-month follow-up the week after next.
궁금 Could I possibly know which hospital it is .??

Reader 64 The degree to which it bothers me has decreased a bit, but the eye shape hasn't changed.

Reader 73 Has the angular feeling maybe gotten a bit better? Is it the end of the eye that's like that, or is it because the line was raised?
Reader 74 It's the same.. hahahahahaha...
