Is there anyone here who had septal extension + septal support strut + stacked ear cartilage on the nasal tip and then had them removed? I am looking into removal because of nasal tip cartilage visibility + suture inflammation.. From what I know, in cases where the septum was manipulated, or after removal there is too little septal cartilage left, complete total removal is usually avoided because of the risk of the nose contracting or becoming upturned. I am really curious whether anyone left only the septal extension and removed the rest, or removed everything but reinforced only the septum with another additional material, and what the prognosis was like.. My nose had a lot of manipulation, and my original nose was also slightly upturned, so total removal is too scary. I honestly want to leave as little as possible, but I do not know what and how much should be left so it will be safest without becoming upturned. Right now, I keep thinking that if I leave only the septal extension and remove the rest (support strut + stacked cartilage on the tip), maybe only the nasal tip height will go down and I will never have to worry about inflammation/visibility again for the rest of my life... but is that possible? Honestly, I can let go of all the nasal tip height, but I am so scared it will become upturned.

A white spot appeared on the tip of my nose. Could this also be cartilage showing through? It’s not as big as cartilage or anything, but the location is the nasal tip again The cartilage won’t pierce through and come out, right? Everyone…
