Everyone, today I went for consultations for my first rhinoplasty at 4 places: ㅁㅂ, ㅋㅂㅈ, ㅇㄴㅂ, and ㅇㅍ. If all four directors recommended surgery using the same materials, that means it’s right to go in that direction, right?!! They all said septal cartilage + ear cartilage + silicone. But at one place, they said they’d open it up and, just in case it seemed like septal cartilage wouldn’t be enough, use rib cartilage. But they said they probably wouldn’t use it unless necessary,, But usually people use that combination for their first surgery and then a lot end up doing revision surgery with rib cartilage, so I’m a bit worried Will it be okay?? + All the consultations were good! The directors were really nice too
얄준영 These days, rib cartilage is really used a lot in first surgeries. It’s just that it costs a lot.. I was also planning to use it if needed, and I had nostril lowering and bulbous nose correction done together at Jeongwon, and they said to use autologous costal cartilage, so I did. I had it done in June, and now almost all the residual swelling is gone, and it’s staying fixed well
빵순 Oh wow, 4 places in one day, you really worked hard~~ If all 4 places said the same materials, I think you can go with that. I heard they mention rib cartilage because sometimes, when they open it up, the septal cartilage turns out to be too little or something like that, so I think that’s why they said it. But a lot of people do use rib cartilage for their first surgery too!! I also booked consultations at ㅁㅂ and ㅋㅂㅈ, and I’m planning to get a surgery consultation for autologous costal cartilage
