Eye Surgery Considerations

Bondi community review

It’s a place famous for behind-the-ear square jaw surgery, so I went for a consultation early this year, and the inside of the hospital felt cozy. The consultation proceeded in the order of consultant-director-consultant. After taking a CT scan, I talked briefly with the consultant about what surgery I wanted, then went into the consultation with the director. The director had pride in the surgery, and while touching my face, immediately told me where the problem areas were. He kindly answered everything I was curious about, and the consultant was also kind without pressuring me to have surgery. (Among the hospitals I consulted with, this was the only one that didn’t contact me about whether I would have surgery.) For square jaw surgery, I was recommended cortical bone resection and muscle resection, but muscle resection was optional, and they said I could think it over sufficiently and tell them by the day of surgery. For reference, the cost is the same for a behind-the-ear incision and an intraoral incision. If I do get surgery, I think I’ll do it here.
