Review of consultations for revision eyelid surgery with Director ㄴㅇㅈ at ㅇㅍ

I had a consultation with Director ㄴㅇㅈ at ㅇㅍ! I went to 7 places for consultations, and this was the last place I visited. Before the consultation, I had already heard that he tends to design somewhat dramatic lines, that people either like or dislike his consultation style, and that he is not extremely friendly, so maybe because I went in knowing that, I thought the consultation was pretty okay! But I kind of get why opinions are divided...? lolololol At ㅇㅍ, before the consultation, a coordinator? takes several photos, but maybe because my eyesight is pretty bad, she told me to look at number 1 and I couldn't see it... So I said I couldn't see well because my eyesight was bad, and when I looked up at the one on the far left, she was a bit cold, saying, "That's not number 1, that's number 2," so that felt a bit off... (I wasn't wearing glasses, and the numbers were small, so I couldn't see them...) And there was a bit of a wait because the director's surgery was running late, but the staff kept checking in, asking me to wait a little longer, and paid attention to me while I was waiting, so I appreciated that. Then during the consultation with the director, I told him what had seemed strange during my first surgery, and after looking at my current eye condition, maybe he also found it strange. Usually doctors only ask which hospital I had it done at, but here he even asked which director it was and went into that hospital's site himself to look it up... lolololololol At that point I strongly felt once again that I should not get AS at the hospital where I had my first surgery lolololololol (If you see the condition of my eyes after the first surgery, that director really deserves to be blacklisted... lol When I go for consultations, all the directors are shocked that the line is way too high, and even though I had ptosis correction, I still can't open my eyes well at all lol I can't reveal it because I'm afraid of being sued... lol) And when I told him the first director's experience and when he got his specialist certification, he said he understood why it turned out this way, and that during the first incisional ptosis correction, there may have been a chance the pulling muscle was not properly found. Since my first surgery was already done by incision, and the line has to be lowered a lot, he said I need double-line lowering... At one place where I liked the consultation, I had been told I didn't need double-line lowering, so I asked whether I had no extra skin at all. He honestly told me that it is not that I have absolutely no extra skin, but since the line has to be lowered a lot, excising skin from the start would be burdensome, and that made me trust him. (I had already been told at 5 places that I needed double-line lowering, and at 1 place that skin excision was possible.) But at the other 6 places I visited, most of them said my left eye was a little higher and my right eye could not open as well, but Director ㄴㅇㅈ said they were similar... ㅇㅅㅇ I also asked whether postoperative lagophthalmos could occur, and he seemed to think it can occur up to about one month, and that for the sake of the shape, a slight degree of lagophthalmos symptoms that is not too severe is acceptable. Since I was in a state where it was hard for me to open my eyes, my top priority was to have surgery without functional problems rather than focusing on the shape, so I felt he did not fit me and did not choose the hospital. Still, during the consultation he checked both eyes and answered well when I asked questions! I thought it was a place worth going to for a consultation..! ▪︎I asked how many mm the line needed to be lowered, but he said, "Is the number of mm important?" and did not tell me the mm... While looking at photos, he showed me approximately how much he would lower it based on my original natural double-eyelid line and the surgical line! Honestly, the mm count differs depending on the doctor, so I think that may have been better. ▪︎I also asked whether the surgery would be difficult, and although this is probably something you hear anywhere, he honestly told me it is not an easy case... He said because of the depressed scar caused by the upper epicanthoplasty, there are more things to pay attention to in the surgery... Still, I was grateful that he told me not to worry too much. ▪︎The manager had short hair, and she was so kind and refreshingly straightforward that I liked her! I even briefly considered doing it here because of the manager... I think the price was in the low 4 million won range for incisional ptosis correction and double-line lowering. There was absolutely no pressure to make a reservation!
