Liposuction Reviews

1-week review after 3-part facial contouring + double-chin liposuction

My face shape wasn’t smooth, and my face wasn’t on the small side, so even when I had a slim body type, a friend once told me that my face stood out a bit. I also started hearing here and there about people having surgery, so I kept facial contouring surgery in mind, but it seemed like a fairly major surgery, so I only thought about it for about 10 years.

While I was trying to ignore it and live with it, recently quite a lot of people have been getting facial contouring, and their faces all looked small. More than anything, even though my friend only slightly shaved the jaw for asymmetry correction, their image changed quite a lot, so I began seriously looking into surgery with the mindset of at least going around for consultations.

I narrowed it down to 5-6 hospitals famous for facial contouring and had consultations at two places, but I still didn’t feel confident about having surgery. Then I booked a consultation at Noh Jong Hoon, which I heard was known for safety + natural-looking results.

When I had the consultation with the director, it felt more like receiving care at a university hospital than at a plastic surgery clinic. He consulted with me calmly and plainly, and while listening to the consultant explain exactly the parts I would be curious about regarding the director’s skill and facial contouring surgery, I thought it matched my needs, so after the consultation, I went home and immediately booked the surgery.

On the day of surgery, I had the final design consultation, and after greeting the anesthesiologist in the operating room, the next thing I knew, everything was over and I was lying in the recovery room. When I read reviews right after surgery, people’s conditions seemed to vary greatly, but I was on the side that had a pretty hard time.. Like other people’s reviews say, if you just endure 3 days, it becomes more manageable, but after spending a few more days with swelling that feels like your face might burst, by the 1-week mark, the major swelling goes down, the appetite that had disappeared comes back a little, and you can go outside wearing a mask. It’s not completely back to normal, but your condition recovers quite a bit. Looking at other people’s reviews, I think my recovery may be a bit slow. On the first and second days after surgery, I couldn’t even think about going for a walk. After having the stitches removed from my sideburn area and receiving radiofrequency treatment on day 8, it was okay to walk on the treadmill for over an hour at a time.

After my mind started leaning toward having the surgery, I looked up a lot about the surgery, including side effects, and ended up going around for consultations with the thought, “Even if it’s not dramatic, let’s do it somewhere safe!” That is how I came to choose Noh Jong Hoon, and the director shaved and repositioned as much as possible within a safe range, so even taking swelling into account, the line change is clearly visible. I’m going to work hard on swelling care from now on!
