I’m putting my embarrassment aside and even showing my face because I’m truly desperate.. Even before surgery, there was asymmetry in the position of my eyes itself, but it didn’t feel very unnatural. But after surgery, the asymmetry has become somewhat more noticeable, and more than anything, the overall feeling of my eyes has become too different on each side. I honestly can’t tell whether this difference in impression is because one eyeball is congenitally more sunken... I’m also considering enophthalmos reconstruction surgery, and I’m thinking about getting it on just one side. I had double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty, but the impression itself is so different, and one side looks too sharp and strange, so I have a severe complex about it. Unless I’m wearing very strong prescription glasses, I go around covering one side.. If I make the eyeball protrude a little through enophthalmos reconstruction, could it look a bit better, like the eye on the left in the photo?

또앙 I don’t think the problem is your eyes; your whole face seems somewhat crooked overall, which makes the eye asymmetry look severe. The lower photo is an old photo, right? From the time of the lower photo until now, if you just lived normally without making efforts to correct asymmetry aside from surgery, most people’s faces naturally become twisted because of lifestyle habits (how you chew food, usual posture, sleeping position, exercise, all 24-hour habits) and congenital reasons. Even compared with the lower photo, not only your eyes but also your jaw, nose, and face shape have become more crooked. I think the fundamental cause and solution would be to completely improve your lifestyle habits and look into clinics or facial contour massage places that correct asymmetry.
몽디스 [@또앙] I wasn’t focusing on the asymmetry and was only thinking about the shape. Are you saying you think it will look okay if the asymmetry improves to some extent?
몽디스 [@또앙] Then what I’m curious about is, when looking at each side separately, what do you think is the reason the eyes feel different?
또앙 [@몽디스] When you look at each side separately, both eyes being different is true for most humans. Celebrities or some people are really symmetrical, but for all humans, having a slightly asymmetrical face is normal. You are just very, very slightly more asymmetrical than others. Reality is not a still 2D image like a photo; it’s moving 3D. I mean that in real life, your moving 3D face probably won’t show the asymmetry enough to look unattractive, compared with when you stare at and observe a still 2D face like this. Don’t be too stressed. Still, if you really want to fix it, look into clinics that correct facial asymmetry or facial contour massage. I don’t know much about that area, so I don’t have anything more to recommend..
또앙 [@또앙] And when I compared it with your old photo, it seems like the severe asymmetry got worse over time rather than being purely innate. Try changing your lifestyle habits, and start with self-care, self-massage, and tools like gua sha. Chewing habits, sleeping position, posture when working or studying, sitting posture, muscles used when smiling, whether you breathe through your mouth when breathing, whether your teeth are misaligned and need orthodontic correction, and so on.
