Shopping Around for Rhinoplasty Consultations

Doesn’t the estimate get more expensive if you do functional rhinoplasty? Instead, the customer can file a claim with private medical insurance.

At first I was only going around for cosmetic nose consultations too, but the more I do it, the more I feel like I’ll need functional rhinoplasty.. I’m wondering if I should look again for places where an ENT specialist performs it..

If you do functional rhinoplasty, it benefits the hospital. Anyway, if the consumer has private medical insurance, the functional surgery part gets processed through insurance, so they hardly pay out of pocket. But the hospital still receives all that cost.

[@] For reference, I did functional rhinoplasty together too, including surgery for a deviated septum and rhinitis. But I’m not really sure I feel a difference^^..

[@도미집] And if you really had inferior turbinate hypertrophy, you probably would have suffered from sinusitis already... Going to a local ENT clinic and getting examined is also an option. Inferior turbinate hypertrophy surgery involves cutting out tissue, so I don’t know how they do the surgery these days, but it bleeds a lot

[@] But they said if there’s a deviated septum and you do surgery using septal cartilage without functional rhinoplasty, it could collapse or become crooked later Do you happen to know anything about this?

[@도미집] Yeah yeah, if you don’t use the septum, you probably still would’ve had a CT scan, but they said because the nasal bone is crooked, even if they place an implant on top, they have no choice but to place it according to that crookedness. Mine was visibly crooked too, so I’m satisfied with that part!
